What's the favorite catch phrase by some here? Job done? We better start learning some new sentences...While we strive to play "Tiki Taka" style football we are long way ,as earth is from Mars , from Barca. And if some of our players won't get their heads out of their a$$ today (AKA Downing ,Gerrard ,Suarez ,Pepe) then we can forget about this new season.

Either we come to play every day or don't come at all.

I think Stevie played relatively well today, and Sterling came on strong.  Downing started well but faded a bit.  Allen was good again.  Other than that I wasn't impressed by anybody really.

Hehe what a silly game. Creds to Hearts.

The ref was horrible and it's not often when they even cut the extra time short.

Well, a familiar European night at Anfield, making it hard for ourselves again! I do like the look of Sterling, he looks a right handful. Allen looks twice the player Adam ever looked. Don't really understand letting go of Carroll, unless some paper talk about Llorente is true i don't see us having a "plan b".

Jonjo Shelvey was my man of the match, excellent passing from him, excellent performance by Stewart Downing. I liked what I saw from Henderson, signs of improvement there. I was delighted to see Suarez score his 2nd goal in 2nd successive match, hopefully this is a turning point for him. Raheem Sterling did well when he came on. Adam Morgan was good tonight, would probably be better if he played in the middle.

The only disappointing things for me was Reina's fumble and the fact we couldn't take more than one of our chances. We had around seven or eight attempts, maybe more on goal and only converted one of those.

We'll need to up the ante against Arsenal, because we need a vital 3 points to push us up the table, but things are looking up for us imo.

That's the spirit, I know a lot of Arsenal fans and they're all cretins of the highest order who seem to have an axe-to-grind with us, so a nice 3-0 win would be most welcome.

for all the plaudits swansea got for their style of play last season they were one of the lowest scoring teams in the prem, that performance tonight wasnt good and doesn`t bode well for when we have to break down the so called lesser sides.
the scottish league these days is a very poor standard and we made a right meal out of that game.
raising our game against the big teams is easy, even hodgson managed to do that.
i hope he brings a goalscorer in tomorrow (i mean a proper one like huntelaar or someone, not dempsey)

aahhh, don't we just love liverpool football club...? a once in a while game of brilliance which makes us believe we're going to win the league, surrounded by large piles of absolute cráp.
