Liverpool Football Club - Games

Have to admit that I missed this one, but the Olympics are in town and that won't happen again in my lifetime :)

Glad to hear that we managed a comfortable win.

Cannot believe that the new season is just round the corner !!

Anyone seen a copy of this match up on the web yet? Extended highlights?

We have a great home game & no one posts it up on the web but the boring away leg has 5 different versions available!

Watched most of the second half and to be honest I'm still in shock that I stayed awake until the end of the game. That is something that wasn't happening last season! I just hope that BR has the courage of his convictions and plays like that in the Premiership which will obviously be a lot more difficult. Entertaining positive football is what the fans demand and deserve! And wasn't Suarez just exceptional! Just maybe we will have something to thank that fkg horrible whiskey nosed tw.at for come the end of the season if this is how Suarez intends to wave two fingers at his idiotic mindless critics! Not sure where the big lad is going to fit into this lot. If Agger does get sold could Carroll be an ideal replacement and I'm being serious?

there was a moment in the second half when suarez and agger were standing over a free kick, and a very loud chant of 'there's only one daniel agger' went up for a while. funnily enough though, now that skrtel is growing a bit of facial hair and a bit of a mohawk it looks like there's two of them.

The Andy Carroll support was awesome last night, even if he didnt get on everytime he warmed up he was cheered and clapped.

I loved the way we played last night. Luis is simply amazing.

There were a couple more periods in the first half when the crowd were singing his name, clearly trying to show him and Rodgers that we want him here for the forseeable future.

The mopvement of the team was excellent for the full 90 and it was good to see the old pass and move being used again. The project as a whole has a long way to go but it was a really promising start and without getting carried away Borini does look to be a good find. There were times espeially in the first half when he and Suarez were clearly already on the same wave length and it wouldn't surprise me if Rodgers has them penciled in as his first choice strikers already.

Shelvey and Downing will be players we are looking to replace in that line up
with Allen being the first one of the two. They look the two weakest links in
the side to me.

After that your eyeing a couple to put pressure on just luxury players to slot in
up top, perhaps on loan with one or two going out if anyones interested.

The shape and that looked ok, and it was quite fluid despite being against a
pretty poor side by prem standards and meaning no disrespect.

Main thing for me is we just get a couple in now that can turn games, proper
footballers with a trick, turn of pace and goals and we should do ok. We have
relied on certain individuals too long and need lads that can consistently deliver
with a good end product now.

Gotta say though, for what seems like ages now Shelvey's been touted as a diamond in the rough but in recent times all I'm seeing from him is the rough.

No doubt there's some talent there and the fella's only 20 (?) but he's been with us two years now and I'm beginning to wonder when, if ever, will he confirm all that was said about him when he signed for us.
