A victory on wesnday will close us in on arsenal and 3rd place.

Great result and character today from the lads, thought Masch was back to his usual self too.

Well pleased with the result and the performance in spite of the :censored: :censored: refereeing! City just lost as well, thats one game-in-hand down! Come on you Reds!!

My ratings:
Reina 7 - Didn't have much to do, but that one save was qaulity!
Insua 8 - Really good performance from him today, proved me wrong thinking he needed a rest
Agger 7 - Kept a cool head and put in a solid performace
Carragher  7 - Same as agger really
Mascherano 9 - Man of the match for me, thought he was quality in both positions he played today
Lucas 7 - Pretty solid game
Maxi 6 - Looks like a gifted player to me but wasn't really in this game
Gerrard 7 - Standard stevie G, good to see him over dippy form now
Kuyt 8 - Good industrious performance and well taken goal, im a big kuyt fan tho
N'gog 7 - Held the ball up well at times, still developing but could really become a good forward if things go right

Feeling good about the :censored: game now!

I thought that once that dirty B@stard (Fellaini) went off, Everton lost the midfield so in a sense our most important player was the big Greek. We deserved the win as we looked much better than them and looked good with only ten men. If Rafa has lost the dressing room (which was claimed by many earlier on) they would never had won today as the players were fighting for each other. Bottom line is we are unbeaten in seven with six clean sheets.

Dare I say it "we're bakh!"

Made up.

The lads had to fight for that today and they did that big time.
Shows when they want it badly they can dig out results, Everton where sh!te, laughable at times they were.
Considering they slag off half of our players, these very same players proved some people wrong today.
Insua certainly showed me he is a better player than i had believed.
Lucas i think has been steady all season but was great today. Not just his workrate he is keeping posession far better these days and picking better passes, the little move just after Kuyts goal where we broke and Maxi was fouled was a great counter attack.
I may be biased but i honestly dont think the greek deserved a red, he goes in with two feet but not over the ball, i thought he was just committed. Fellaini is a dirty cnt though and should have gone, he stamps on the greek and injures himself, the sh!thouse.
I am one who had previously said that i thought Rafa had lost the players, i said i was wrong after the spurs game and the players showed today that they are willing to still fight.

Lando just to say, its more likely a defeat will provoke a bigger reaction than a good win, because you dont really debate a win, you put ye praise accross and thats it, defeats are scrutinised far more, thats just the way it is.
I am someone who still thinks that we need a change of manager, and i am on now praising him and the lads today.
If i am wrong and Rafa turns things round i will be made up.
I doubt anyone will stay away from here because they may be proved wrong though.

I know they gave the Diggler MOTM on account of his routine goal against the bitters, but Mascherano stood out head and shoulders. He was in that ..."you want a fight?...you will get one" mode..and locked up midfield. Hes a world class destroyer...and we need to supplement that by getting ourselves a world class passmaster (and finally replacing Alonso) to play beside him as the midfield would dominate.

Thats 1 goal conceded in 10 and a half hours of Premiership football.
