That performance was very good. Without key players, and Everblue battling away, it showed that at times our players can step up a gear. Hope we can keep going now from strenght to strenght.

Fookin brilliant that. Have some of that you shower of blue sh!te! :buttrock

A fantastic battling performance from the lads, with special mention to Stevie and Masch for getting stuck in and doing a job defensively when we went a man down. Another special mention to Dirk who did his job brilliantly. You saw it coming: he had camped in front of Howard in exactly the same way the corner before and put the big fella off and then did it again. I love how he pushed off him for leverage before nodding home.

Atkinson had an absolute mare out there in the first half but the second half was much less frantic, which really should have caused us more problems. Everton did feck all with their man advantage and gave Reina very little cause for alarm. Well organized, strong in the tackle and threatening on the counter--we really played a perfect half with a man down. :nod

Nice to see that little pr!ck Peinar get his marching orders seconds before the end and karma did to Screech what Atkinson was too gutless to do. Brilliant.

lot of character showing games lately. Maybe we will see some talent showing games later, but if you don't have the character, the talent isn't going to matter.

There's nothing wrong with Gerrard playing in the midfield! In fact it brings so much stability to the team even with 1 man down.

let alone the raffa haters, you can do one cause this is the result that matters to me! i'm going out an getting lashed big time! the ale is tasting so sweet at the moment it will only get better an better, those feckers in blue, the ale will always taste bitter!

what a result, what a performance, when you stick together thats the result you get! fecking made up, i can't wait for work monday now, cause i will have a fecking big hangover from the ale all weekend, an also give everyone who slates the club i love, fecking abuse big time!

i'm celebrating his goal now, just as i have done with all his others mate! his workrate,commitment, passion , effort will always have an end product! an he showed it again today- fecking top bloke who deserves all the credit he gets!
