Hes rushing everything.. this is what happens when you give players limited time to shine.bunglemark2 » Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:48 pm wrote:Nyoni has done well. Rio not so good, doesn't make the right decisions

We started off playing our usual rigid formation, only after getting the 3rd of 4th did the lads relax and they enjoyed themselves playing the kind of football they enjoy playing. The change was noticeable.
Mo is a shadow of his former self. he stays isolated out on the wing, lacks the speed to rush on goal and he had only 1 or 2 underwhelming shots. Obviously his free kick was superb but for a £400k a week player with another season on the books, he's past it guys, we need to let him go to Saudi this summer.
Still too many short passes over complicating build ups, get the ball in range of goal and just bang the fecking thing. Watching Rio tie himself in knots is not fun and young Nyoni trying to play pretty football is just so wrong. Fowler, Owen, Gerrard were all more brutal in front of goal, these lads need to do the same.
The back 4 situation is clearly a disaster with Frimpong out again. Endo is a firey lad and will do his best but he's not Trent in attack and and he's not Bradley in defence. Well done Gravenberch for doing will at CB but what a pain in the @ss.
Overall positive but.. y'know... Guess we should be thankful for the automatic qualification.
And a nice pint in The Old Barn pub after.
