Very concerning. That'd be the quickest way to completely unravel our season.

Sterling on for Gundogan. City are going more attacking and starting to control the game here in the second. This may actually be better for us in terms of possibly scoring another goal on the counter, tho I'd be much more confident of that if Mo didn't go off. We keep the pressure on them and keep pushing them outside, and we may be alright.

f*cking yes!

That's probably a better result than we could've realistically asked for. That's puts us in with a legitimate shot at going through. Score 1 at city, and it becomes very hard for them to come back.

3-0. Clean sheet!!! Get in. We're 80% there. TAA had Sane in his pocket all night. Well done lad. I just hope Salah is OK

They will have to go for it big time at their place. We'll catch em on the counter attack, score a couple. Job done.

Huge credit to Klopp. I wanted Wjanldum to start over one of Hendo or Milner, but they were both excellent. And so was Ox. TAA had a couple scary moments, but we dealt with them, otherwise Sane, who I think most felt would be their biggest threat, was completely ineffective. Even bringing on Solanke was great. He worked his ***** off, and was one of the first ones back whenever city tried to counter.

Going to feel like ages until the second leg comes now.

Trent had a massive game....as they all did to be fair, City are up against it now, yes they've got to attack but if they go too gung-ho we will catch them on the break, just 1 away goal will leave them having to score 5.
One of the great European nights that.

f*ck me, haven't felt like this in years! Turned out a lot better than we all expected. Amazing game, wonderful result.

Two negatives though, Salah's injury (he was smiling at the end so it probably wasn't serious), and Henderson missing the next match.

Absolutely superb performance.
A master class in attacking football first half followed by a masterclass in defending second.

This is Man City - did they even have an attempt on target??  :eyebrow
The great thing is I can't see City keeping us out next week- we score one and they would have to score FIVE to go through...

One thing City should note... You will NEVER beat Liverpool at Anfield on a big European night. Never. I don't care who the ***** you are. Bring on Goliath.
