Well, talk about folding to pressure...

A few pretty poor kicks. Their keeper comes off his line by a yard or so before we were kicking the ball tho, which isn't allowed. That gives him a big advantage and makes the goal smaller. It's a rule that's rarely enforced, but I don't think I've ever seen a keeper that consistently comes that far off his line and gets away with it.

Congrats to city. Pretty upsetting way to lose. I would've taken us for pens before the match started without a doubt, but it doesn't always go your way.

Best team won we where lucky to take it that far.

Mign guessed all the penalties but all of them were in the side netting. Great penalties. Can't say the same about us I'm afraid.

Talk about a coaster ride....was sure we had it...

The only one I didn't want to take a penalty was Can. After he scored I was sure it was ours...

Lucas was probably our best player over the 120 minutes but that miss by him was huge, if he would have put that away we would have been 2-0 up and City would have been right up against it.
Some great pens there by City though it has to be said, they were right in the side netting, Mingolet had no chance.

I would go with the stereotype here... Brazilians such at taking penalties...

Can't believe we lost to be honest. We've always won in finals when we played on penalties.

Gutted but pens a lottery.  Feel far Lucas. Was brilliant at CB and must be gutted.  Fair play to their keeper, pulled off some good saves. Need to take it in the chin and move on concentrate on the Europa and try and finish the league as strong as possible ahead of a critical summer

My thoughts were similar when I saw Lucas walking in for the 2nd pen.
Where was our regular experienced penalty taker at that time?
2 up different shootout all together...
But it's done now and so is the season. All we can hope for, is to knock the ***** out of Europe.
Am gonna hit a large glass of Martel and quite possibly the bottle. 

I think we might have found ourselves a CB in Lucas, we desperately need a new keeper though and also central midfielders who offer more than just effort.
