Our last game of a calendar year which very nearly saw us achieve sporting immortality.
Konate is back for us, Madison and Praet missing for them.
Goes without saying that we need to win.

I feel sorry for BRod and Leicester, they're a shadow of themselves since their Thai owner dies in the helicopter crash.
Rodgers will be out by the end of the season and Leicester might even go down if they can't fight of Everton.

LFC are rebuilding, in theory the Dutch lad is available for this game however I don't expect to see him play.
Watching the Villa game I realised how long most of the current squad have been in the team so whilst they're still great players, they don't have the energy nor speed of 4-5-6 years ago so fresh blood is welcome.

Another crazy stat: we have 23 league games between now and the end of the season at end of May. 23!! Plus CL, FA Cup etc.. so we need a fit, young squad with the energy to get us back into the top 4 or better.

Nunez needs a couple of goals tonight to calm him and show him his style of football works. The aging midfield need to step up and provide those opportunities.
