Shouldn't have lost this one. Conceding too many goals this season. Fabinho but also Gini are terribly missed.

That was just so frustrating and annoying.  Firmino, Ox and Jones were poor and just covered ground. Midfield were anonymous and challenged for nothing which allowed them to get at us.

We moved the ball so slow and Brighton figured this out covered all angles and put 3 attackers up vs 2 and countered us all game.

We needed Ox and Curtis to be more brave and commit players by making runs to open space up for our attackers.. but they just strolled around casually making 5 yard passes.

Missed the game as I was out all day. WTF went wrong? Last I heard we were almost 3-0 up.

Did Keita going off balls up our game plan? Not sure Ox has much to offer our first 11 these days

We were cruising mate in the first 20. Looked like we were going to kick on and win 6 or 7 nil until Keita went off. He just pulled up and sat on the ground  he was pulling the strings in midfield with his runs and passing and no one stepped up when he went off.

Firmino should have put that to bed inthe first half only to put it into the stand from 7 yds out. After that they grew in confidence and we looked to have ran out of ideas. We have nothing to bring on that can change a game for us either.

The midfield lost that for us today by being too passive and not getting stuck in.

Only listened to one of those watch-along's on YouTube so I didn't see the game but the Liverpool fan doing the commentating said at the end Brighton were probably the better side. There's always a danger of it being a case of after the Lord Mayor's show after a really big win like last week's and it looks like we've fallen foul of that old adage today.
The damage isn't catastrophic, all games square we are only 3 points off the top which is nothing at this stage and we have played the other 3 title challengers and are still unbeaten as well so there's no need to press the panic button or anything but we do need to get the likes of Fabinho and Thiago back and we do need to wake the eff up at the back, I know their first had an element of luck about it but we shouldn't be giving up 2-0 leads at Anfield to anybody, let alone Brighton.

Our midfield is a bit light. Hopefully it improves with the return of Fab and Thiago.

Genuinely gutted Keita is injured again. He's started to look like a proper player these last few weeks.

First half hour it looked like it could be another 5-0!

Our midfield was so poor. Jones had a stinker. Naby looked like he wanted to stay on so hopefully it was just a case of rushing him back a little too soon and the medical team been cautious. Really need Fabinho and Thiago back if we're going to control games.

Mane was awesome. Clearly benefited from sitting out the last two games. Firmino was poor which is frustrating after he was so good last week.

Konate had a few hairy moments which shows he's still adapting. Although there wasn't much effective midfield cover.

Hopefully have Fabinho back in the starting 11 for Wednesday with Thiago on the bench.

Expectations have become too high of late however we shouldn't give away 2 goal leads.

We move forward.
