This season? Hell we don't offer anything for two seasons in dead ball situation. We hate corners, both defending and taking them. Rafa hates corner, to him it is not an advantage so he doesn't care. Why bother training how to score from corners when your best corner takers hardly able to hit pass the first defenders.

I think its because in training we are used to practising against a zonal defence and we score loads from corners..... then when we play a match the opposition cheats and plays man to man  :D

We still played Gerrard, we still played Torres, so what did we gain by fecking around with the team and formation? Ridiculous, bizarre and silly but fortunately no long term damage.

Just being curious Mick but what did you want Rafa to do with the CM tonight with Mascherano having a hamstring injury, noway could he have played Lucas & Gerrard in midfield tonight, noway.

:D  hahaha...
Maybe you are right.. The oppo during training doesn't dribble too that's why we struggled against team that can pass and dribble well. Those cheaters.......

Ahh... soon the debate will be all about money
Rafa doesn't have a billion pound to spend poor him.
He need to rebuilt the entire team that he has started building 5 seasons ago.
Show him the moooonneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey :p

Skrtel and Lucas shouldnt be playing at this level... Both nowhere near good enough .. Aurelio linked up play with the attacking players better than Lucas did but he was still useless in the middle...

Insua still has some learning to do at the defensive end... wouldnt want him starting against Chelsea
Johnson .. 18mill ? still cant defend

Babel... should be competing with Benny for a spot down the right flank with Kuyt upfront until Aquilani is back..
Riera... One of our most important players.. Why the fck isnt Rafa playing him when we seemingly need him the most ?

On a side note, Gerrard and Torres seemed pretty frustrated tonight

For starters I didnt insult you, if I wanted to I could believe me I want to.

They had 10 men behind the ball and where playing counter attack, Gerrard roams to much and Gerrard has to babysit Lucas hello? We where playing an Italian team do you not know how they play or are you in your tommy gun mode?

i wouldnt say being clueless AND a woman are entirely correlated but yeaa..... :lookaround

Gerrard should have started alongside Lucas with 2 upfront.. would have given us more balance and probably would have forced them to change their approach in the first half... As things turned out they were too comfortable controlling the game through Zanetti and Montolivio and thats were we struggled the most in the first half... 2nd half when Gerrard came deeper their whole gameplan had to be changed because they had to commit more of their attacking players to closing down deeper than they would have liked and thats when we got total control of proceedings...
