This game would suit him down to the ground, Bolton just launch the ball and we need someone of his ariel ability to cope with this, and yet i know im jumping the gun but he wouldnt be in there against Chelsea , different ballgame different way of playing and i think he will get found out , The blackburn and Bolton games and the likes are made for him, So id have the greek in with either Carra or Skrtel. and Kelly right back. No two holding midfielders either, Meirles and Lucas in for me,

I disagree Nan.  Sure Kyrgiakos is more effective in games where teams launch the ball high, but I think he has to play regardless of the opponent at the minute.  He looks like the steadiest defender we have right now.  Couldn't imagine saying that a year ago, but it's true!

If it was a choice John between him and Agger if fit against Chelsea would you still have Soto in, i know im looking ahead here, and before anyone jumps on my case , i love the greek and its just a question ,

Why not play both? If Carragher is playing so well at RB, keep him there. Play Agger and Kyrgiakos at CB.

Same team as last week, dont see any need for change. We know bolton are gonna be physical and play lots of balls into the box so the greek and skrtel are the best placed defenders to deal with that. Cannot recall if they have any pacy wingers so carra and konchesky should be fine.

Would like to see a bit more from cole today

hate to see the man u win anything but them beating Spurs can be good for us. with Man City losing aswell we have to capitalise if we wanna have any sort of a go at 4th spot.....

Hodgson should put a bit of faith in our abilities rather than worry about the oposition and actually play the same team as last week....keep some momentum going....think the Greek should be rewarded for his efforts and definately start.

Nobody got the team yet? FWIW given last week was the first time we've played really well all season, I think keeping exactly the same team is probably the way to go.

Have a good trip Bav
Obviously the win is needed but a good performance by team and away point at difficult venue wouldnt  leave me too unhappy.

In fairness to Bolton they dont play anywhere nearly as direct as they did under Fat Sam or Megson, Davies is still a handful physically but they will keep it alot more along the ground than you'd have seen in recent years, except for when Sammy was in charge for a short period. They still launch it, but they like Stoke to their credit are trying to be more than 1 dimensional this season.

I fancy us to nick this if we play with the same intensity and tempo as last week. I truly hope Roy has seen the error of his ways and he understands as a Liverpool manager we are trying to win every match, not prevent the other team from doing so.
