Tough times

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby A.B. » Fri Nov 19, 2004 2:39 am

The injuries have unfourtanetly created a tough situation for the players, the fans and the club overall. We've lost both Cisse and Baros in less than a month due to injuries and because of that some [not all] of us are quite pessamistic and depressed about how we will perform from now on.

Injuries were bound to happen, sooner or later it would make an impact on us. We were said to be a one man squad and that we could not go far without Steven Gerrard but the Reds proved that is not the case. Does Gerrard make a difference when he plays? Yes but our game is not revolved around Gerrard and now it is most definetly not revolved around Milan Baros.

It is quite unfortunate for Baros because he has been Red hot. He has worked his ****** off and scored his first hat-trick at Anfield and now he will be out for a month. But even so we have been in tough spots before and we've gone through it. It's not the end of the world as the captain of the ship returns.

Gerrard will boost the confidence of the whole squad, he can create a spark within the squad to get us going. It may seem that it's all doom and gloom but this is not the time to be pessamistic.

We're the fans of the most successful club in England and we have to show that no matter what is on our way that we will walk on with hopes in our hearts and we will never walk alone.

For those who are going to see the Reds play against Boro, I ask of you all to cheer for the lads louder than you usually would for those fans such as myself who unfortunately can not go to a game and sing their hearts out for LFC.

I don't know, mind staying on topic? You can talk about your fantasy team somewhere else as there is a topic made about it already.

What about when we play arsenal our defence is weak, say they are really on form banging goals in whos going to be banging our goals in ??? .
With our strikers injured expect 2 goals a game if we are lucky.

I think one up front and an extra guy in midfield. We can chop and change the lone striker. I dont think playing both Mellor and Pongolle is a good idea as we have better players in midfield than attack right now. To get the best players in I would sacrifice a forward.

I agree
Let's get Kewell back from Everton (I think he's only on Loan)
He can play up front with Kevin Daglish
:D

Wouldnt surprise me if he was comrade, seems we have a whole bunch of players loaned out across europe. I dont know what kinda agreements are in place but you would think if it was possible then a couple may come back right now. At least the younger guys who are not completely out of the picture just yet. Perhaps Le Tallac and Diarra, just to give us a couple more options in our time of need  :;):

Have no fear people - Rafa the Gaffa will sort it out. Has he let us down yet?? He's turned some of the sh!te players into good players, he's got rid of potential weak links in our team (Scruffy b@st@rd Douif to name one) he's turning our team around!! He'll pull something out of the bag you can bet on that.

Rafa!! Rafa !!
