TORRES INJURY BLOW

Wycombe manager Paul Lambert is set to be without the flamboyant skills of playmaker Sergio Torres as the Chairboys face Lincoln.

Torres was forced off at half-time of last weekend's 1-0 win at Rochdale after he took a series of kicks from an uncompromising back four and has missed training all week with an ankle injury.

The Argentinian is set to miss out but Gary Holt is back to take his place in midfield.

Holt missed the Dale win through illness but is well enough to return which should see Matt Bloomfield move forward into Torres' role behind the two strikers.

Stefan Oakes has returned to training after his knee injury but will not feature this weekend leaving just Will Antwi (foot) and Scott Shearer (ankle) on the treatment table.

Lincoln will be without suspended Mark Stallard.

The striker was sent off for serious foul play in last week's defeat to Rotherham and sits out the first of a three-game ban.

Ben Wright is expected to be promoted from the bench to partner Jamie Forrester up front.

But new loan signing Alex Morfaw is expected to go straight into the squad following his arrival from Scunthorpe and could even start on the wing for the Imps.

Manager Peter Jackson will still be without Lee Frecklington as the midfielder will be sidelined for another fortnight with an ankle injury, and Gary Croft is out with a calf injury.

Shane Clarke is likely to partner Scott Kerr in central midfield, with Louis Dodds and Dany N'Guessan further options on the wing.

Despite the last time someone did this with Rafi Torres in the NHL in North America I fell for it, and I damn well fell for it again with this guy!
