Well, I am annoyed with many things about the owners, but
I can put alot of it down to lack of understanding and different cultures etc. BUT...

What really makes med furious about all this is the real reason
we even needed new owners. Why was that now?
To be able to be more competetive and build a new stadium.
And the end result is that Moores took a few more millions and sold us down the river in a deal that made us go backwards.

Just because of the takeover Liverpool has had to pay large fees for

a) the takeover itself
b) legal fees here and legal fees there
c) £50 m in stadium design costs..?
d) extra interest payments and fees to the banks

No real money has been so far been put on the stadium itself, even if there already is a loan of £350 million. But that is for the purchase of the club!

And all that extra investment in the squad?
Even worse than under Moores. Some might say:

But they paid for Torres, Babel etc

Like hell they did! So far These 2 owners has not put one cent of their own money into the club.

They have taken on the debt Liverpool had before and just made a new loan to cover the old loan. Every player Liverpool
have bought and will buy will just be bought with loaned money which LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB ITSELF HAS TO PAY!

What about the TV MONEY? THE CL MONEY FROM LAST SEASON?

In the owners pockets, because they haven't gone to pay for players or such things. Only loans to pay for loans to pay for more loans. Not a single pence of fresh new capital has been invested in this club and all the prize money Liverpool has earned has gone to the owners and not been spent!

Right, this has been called for and is perfectly justifiable in my opinion. We've had many a topic about rants how Rafa should leave, yet not one topic header concerning these two c*nts. I'd also add some sort of a poll, but I don't seem to have the option of  doing so.

All discussions and rants of anti-Hicks and Gillette events, or news of events shall take place in here as to not detract from the footballing side of things in other threads.

I call to those established members such as Ciggy et al, to support this campaign. Can someone post a new thread entitled 'Kick Hicks out of Liverpool' where all discussions and plans can be posted? I would do it but feel more likely to be taken seriously if an established member starts it.

If every fan's forum begins a similar initiative this 'Kick Hicks out of Liverpool' campaign can become a catchphrase and known and discussed within the media - I predict an unstoppable domino effect - a gathering juggernaut of anti-Hicksism which becomes so strong Hicks finally admits defeat.

We have so much material and evidence on this guy already that the campaign can be a sensible and well informed one.

For example, any computer whizzes out there can create an anti Hicks website, e.g. called tomhicks.com as a counter measure against his absurd PR campaign to win us over - let's show him and the world that we can see right through his lies.

Of course some detractors will say that this is taking away the focus of the football and supporting the team - I say there will be no team or decent football if this situation is allowed to continue. Others may say let's give Hicks a chance since he has come up with the goods at last - I say it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to realise he has come up with nothing, it's all a sham, pulling wool over our eyes, and we must act now.

Although I'm a new poster and people will tend to ignore or shout down new posters, I want to propose a serious idea.

You may be a new poster, but I'm sure you've followed the team for long enough to know what's best for the club, and in this case with your anxieties, I'm certain you do, so you've as much voice in here as any so feel free to vent it.

With Dubai International Capital poised to launch a takeover bid for Liverpool in the coming weeks, the club's co-owner, Tom Hicks, went on the offensive yesterday, insisting he had "absolutely" no plans to relinquish his control of Anfield.

Despite Hicks, with his American partner George Gillett, completing a £350 million refinancing of the club on Friday, Liverpool's future is far from clear. The loan, negotiated with Royal Bank of Scotland and the American bank Wachovia, is due for repayment in the summer of 2009 and, despite assurances that £245 million of the borrowings are secured on the club's parent company, Kop Football Holdings, the suspicion is that the football club will have to service the annual £30 million interest charges.

In an interview on BBC's Sportsweek yesterday, Hicks said that the task of raising £300?million to build the 71,000-seat stadium at Stanley Park would be tackled "further down the road".

With such financial uncertainty, DIC remain confident they can persuade Hicks and Gillett to sell out in the next few weeks. Hicks said he had held talks with DIC about selling them a minority investment to help raise capital for the new stadium, but that talks had broken down following his £1?billion valuation of the club.

He added that no talks "of substance" had taken place with DIC since, although The Daily Telegraph understands that Hicks has remained in contact with DIC throughout the last few weeks and that Gillett was in London for talks with the Gulf state's representatives last Thursday.

Despite that, when asked if he had been looking to sell to DIC, Hicks said: "Absolutely not. That was never a serious possibility and it isn't today. I can't think of a price where I'd be interested in selling at all.

"I did talk to them once about a 10-15 per cent participation but that was months ago and we gave them a valuation. They felt the valuation was too high. We have had no conversations of substance since. We would have used that new capital to build the new stadium. But we will find other ways to capitalise the new stadium here in a couple of years. We'll do it further down the road."

Hicks dismissed the idea that Gillett would try to sell to DIC behind his back. He said: "George and I get along fine, sometimes we don't agree but that's what business partnerships are all about."

Hicks insisted that manager Rafael Benitez would see out his contract and maybe extend his stay. He said: "We have a great manager in Rafa Benitez who has our support. He has got a contract for two more years, I think hopefully longer than that."

A few nice (choice) words about Rafa.  Trying to make it up to the boss and fans just doesn't wash over.  He know' that he's on a hiding......  Very slimey indeed.

Yeh i'm there with you , i'm afraid there are serious things afoot ,like say the future of our club under the ownership of these 2 tw@ts , football on the pitch is secondary at the moment. Can we also make sure that that knob parry gets a mention aswell .

If you want to talk about the lovely stadium and how cr@p rafa is ,please refrain from doing so in this thread . This thread is soley for the people who have the interests of the club at heart and is not for glory hunting numpties who want the league today.

Count me in. I have doubts about Gillet but I don't trust Hicks as far as I can kick him (and boy, would I like to!). The more I learn about his past, the more I fail to understand why we sold to him. He's a selfish, money-grabbing, deceitful, lying wanker and he needs to go.
