It would be IF the new stadium ever gets built. Off the figures I have seen (and I have no idea if they are right or not) the new stadium would still be much too expensive to be built, without a huge increase in commercial revenue and season tickets.

Maybe we can sell the name of the ground etc but I still think its highly unlikely to be built under the present owners.

And the other thing is, these c*nts talked the talk; but have they walked the walk? Have they f*ck. I'll believe the stadium when I see it.

The other thing that worries me mate is where are the rest of the gang of 5?

Rafa - no comment (understandably)

Gillett - no comment

Parry - no comment

Moores - no comment

It just seems strange to me, that they have not all been prancing around making statements etc

Certainly I would have expected Parry to have been grabbing his moment in the sun with both hands. Making his usual statement about how it was a long hard road but he feels they have eventually come to the right decision etc etc.

Its quiet.......... maybe too quiet.

Something else is going on. The press is full of sh*t, so I wouldn't take anything they say for granted. All they like to do is poke at the fire and stoke the flames.

I personally feel that there are deals going on behind closed doors. Ones that even the press would never sniff out. DIC are said to be all but out of the picture. I disagree with that notion. They won't just walk away having being interested for so long in us.

I don't think DIC are finished.

Not by a long way. But I do think that the fans need to set that aside now.

Let that happen behind the scenes, but at the matches, it's the team that need support because we have a very real challenge from Everscum, Villa and Man City for the fourth place.

Not to mention Inter approaching fast.

MHP - get to bed

Thankfully I believe there are enough of those among us who will carry on kicking up a fuss about the current owners. Hick's is simply the devil, he is how you would imagine a Man Utd owner might be not one with Liverpool's tradition and sensibilities. The guy is brash, full of :censored: and a fooking bare-faced liar. Some of our fans seem so :censored: fickle to simply think "everythink is now rosey because they promised us a shiny new stadium, because they patted Rafa on the back and they promised to buy us a new toy - Masch" The point is these liars just don't care - the evidence is everywhere. Do the math(s) and see how our transfer budget for the foreseable future will be considerably lower than perhas as many as 6 of the other top teams i.e. even the likes of City. This is the reason he wanted to bring in another manager - someone who accepts that they have a limited amount of money to play with. They have nothing against Rafa other than Rafa is a clever guy and knows he needs money to build a title winning team. Under the yanks we will carry on competing for 4th spot and they will be creaming themselves as the brand of LFC will stay strong enough to yield them the money that they crave. There is no added value for them in us being a title winning team - why should they spend an extra £100 million on players when they might for arguments sake only recoup £50 for winning the league and champs league etc. They have a special formula for making money and it doesn't include us having to win anything!

If you are happy for this by all means carry on being blind. But I know enough fans out there will be up for the long haul war even if this current battle has been lost. :)

Outbid or uninterested? I feel rafa was showing an interest because of certain fans, many fans wanted Fowler back but not as many wanted Owen. Also why spend that much money on a player who wasnt prepared to give rafa a chance and left at the first opportunity? I certainly wouldnt.

OUTBID UNINTERESTED
i think it was proborably  abit of both in all honesty.
talking of giving rafa a chance dont you think he at least  deserves the same amount of time as this fergie you are so impressed by. AS i said  fergie did nothing for years for the mancs when he first arrived.

RAFA has given us a CL an FA and a CL final  in his first few years.and god know hes had alot to put up with this year.
PLease just give the man the support you talk about

Ok you have totally lost me  :help  I never said anything about fergie, and I never said anything about not supporting rafa.

lol sorry meant  for manhattanl ol

Hicks is such a lying b@stard.

Igor Zidane wrote:Really this is not about winning the title or finishing 4th even , it's not about a nice new stadium ,or if the 2 yanks have x amount of dollars and the arabs have y amount . IT'S ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE CLUB you clueless glory hunting prats. Yer see when it comes down to it ,this is what being a supporter is all about . you support the club and everything it stands for . It's history it's tradition ,the kit colour the badge ,the smell the atmosphere. Get it . If all you want is titles and leagues and £30 million pound players and you want it now .Well go and get them ,cos there are other clubs that have them whilst we don't .
I think i'll stick around for a bit with the people i know want the best for my club and not just another shiny new stadium . I'll stay here with the people who won't accept being sh!t on from a great hieght as soon as we see the pound signs flashing . The club means alot to me ,more than you would know ,i will not see it ruined by you ,your american idols ,DIC  or anyone .Take agood look at yourselves you know who you are.

Post of the thread for me Igor

Sums up what a lot of fans at the match that ive spoke to are feeling as well mate. This awl fella said to me last week its gonna be like someone you love slowly going downhill before your eyes and if these two stay here i dont think i can bear to watch that happen so id rather not come the games.

Ijust hope mate we carry our campaign on against them and they will get fed up and :censored: off before its two late

This stadium will never get built under these two cowboys,, the plans will never get off the drawing board. We have been promised so much....but they have delivered fukk all!...just because they have managed to secure the loan dose not mean everything is rosey in the garden?......I dont think rafa will be here after the summer those two lying yankee b@stards will make sure of that, and if anyone does get any money for players off those two scumbags....it wont be rafa. We have to keep the pressure on them (and that leech parry) and let them know they cant fool us scousers into thinking everything is "fine and Dandy".....cos it aint while those two bozo's are running this club. :no

Jus to add insult to injury, aint it yankee designers that got the contract for the stadium and did i read somewhere its a yank owned firm that'll start construction?
Almost incestuous!!
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road
