People who wanted DIC, well DIC is in a financial mess right now, especially on how their real estate and contracting is gone to sh!ts. We should count our self lucky that we rejected a bid for them, because we would have been in a similar position with Hicks and co right now. I'll tell you something about the arabs, they love to dream, and they dream big, once they are in a mess they don't know how to get out of it, its a FACT. The Abu Dhabi group that owns Man City are also going into a similar situation like DIC, in 2 or 3 years time they will have problems (not similar to DIC) but the losses they incurred this year with Man City will come back and bite them in the @ss.

New England Sports Ventures (NESV)issued a statement saying they would move "all acquisition debt" away from the club if their £300m bid succeeds.


Key words: "all acquisition debt"

£60m of new debt will remain in the club (approximately £40m of that earmarked for stadium redevelopment, and £20m for cashflow.)

Yeah we will have a little bit of debt but thats normal and will be far less than any other club - i think someone earlier said it will be the second lowest in the prem .

They have just had the MLS Commissioner on Sky praising NESV saying they are nothing but good for sport .

I would love to have owners who really do understand and love the club but at the moment just the thought of those two BUFFOONS leaving has me happy happy happy

Just got in from work and I have so much to catch up on, Bloody hell were do I start. I have talksport on too, I've just heard Broughton saying that when he was put in place by the yanks that they wrote into his contract that he (broughton) decides who is on the board and either Hicks or Gillette can't have the say.

If anyone else wants to give me any more info to save scrolling millions of pages do so please

I caught that too.....he also said there is a legally binding part of the new contract that stops the new owners doing what the two kunts did... ie putting the debt on LFC!!

Good news too what you mention...basically they are being evicted because the board are voting against them,the rotten kunts are getting booted out because they are outnumbered...the best part is they signed their powers away themselves!  

Slap it up you both....rotten kunts.....and as long as they don't win in court they will leave with FU'CK ALL PROFIT......NOT A PENNY!!

There are different types of debt mate, the acquisition debt is basically the one the two k*nts used to buy the club, and that's the main issue we are having. NESV will pay the cash to buy the club and get rid of that, which is awesome! no more problems in that department.

Now to run a normal business you always have to have a working capital debt, even Man City owners have this, but this does not pose any problems, I don't think any club is debt free, you will always have minimal debt, and the stadium which will either get renovated and expanded or building a new one we will also secure some sort of debt to cover it.

I don't think its something to worry about, the main thing is the acquisition one, the one used to buy the club.

I think thats got to be the best news that has come out of it all, that no debt will be put back on the club, even if we get sold again in a year we will never have that sort of debt again............or is it just another sade in the ground in 60's days, hope not.

call me made but this still might not be over, say hick get a hold put on this, he gets a loan from citibank and trys to buy the rest of the club off GG, he then has control of 100% of the club and can sack his own board under law.

i'm actually quite surprised that another offer from the US has been offered to buy the club. based on the current ownership and the famous "thanks but no yanks" slogan i'd think there'd be significant backlash to the current proceedings. but who knows? its only early days.

but from an american perspective, John Henry, (NESV) owns one of the most respected and revered sports franchises in north america. its a funny concept, i know. especially one with a name like Red Sox. but much like liverpool, it has a long and storied history going back to the 1900s. with colorful traditions, famous players, and 'curses'. the most enduring of which was the 'curse of the bambino', when they sold a certain babe ruth to the new york yankees, thus starting off a rivalry americans all over consider the greatest rivalry in all of baseball. (kind of like if we let king kenny go to the mancs, which would be stupid.) they then went through an amazing 86 year long wait to win a championship. (and deservedly so.)

to put it in a football perspective: the red sox have an intense dislike for a team that lives just down the road really. manu-liverpool anyone?

i guess what i'm trying to say is, i see funny similarities between the red sox and our reds. from the colors, to the history, to the drought that has seen us not win the one thing we've wanted so badly for so long. as an LA fan, i DISLIKE boston teams. especially the celtics. but i feel optimistic for this offer from the owner of the red sox. maybe it was the similarities i saw, or just how much i want for tom hicks and his pet monkey george to go.

but john henry and his people might know a thing or two about tradition and history.

Not going to happen - he is damaged goods now - no bank is going to touch him and I think the prem will step in and declare him not fit and proper . I also think GG will be happy to walk away and won't sell to Hicks - Hicks has messed him around as well so why would he sell to him
