The only glimmer of hope is that despite 2 high profile bidders - for some unknown reason slanging it out in the media - Broughton has a couple of quiet ones which are more serious and preferable.

Broughton asked bidders to keep away from the media, he said we wouldnt hear anything until it was finalised (which makes a joke of Kenny and Saddam and will be reflected in Broughton´s lower respect for them) so I go with Broughton and will wait until he tells us its done and hopefully it will be a third party.

This was posted by FatScouser over on Rawk.
He seems to get some decent info , so here's hoping that Twit and Tw*t are truly about to get everything they deserve.

'Okie Dokie. I just had some words, here's what I can say..
.
I was informed last night that a meeting had took place earlier in the evening, between the head honchos from the banks involved... the main people being a fella called Ian Abraham from BarCap and Stephen Hester himself....
Abraham is MD of "Risk, Liquidity, Private Equity" at BarCap.

Of course, I have no idea what actually went on behind closed doors. But our friend at RBS told me and I qoute.... "The owners are getting shafted in the morning". '

Ok but how do you shaft the owners without shafting the club?

If they are lined up for a rogering, then clearly they have 'done something' to deserve it. What?

Its pretty serious if two senior men meet like that and are pi$$ed off.

Bama has said there is a board meeting today.
From what he said last night huangs bid was shown to barcap last night and they were going to pass it onto the board today.
I think there will be somesort of an announcement tommorow or Sunday but we will here all sorts of rumours  tonight about the bid being accepeted . You never know might here somthin today

One thing is for sure it's all coming to a head.
I think Roy knows this  and that's why it's been all so quiet on the new striker front, me thinks he is waiting for this to go through

Just been on Rawk , they're getting excited over there and think it could be done today.
Anyone confirm that there is a board meeting today.

Please , please , please let this be it , then we can have the biggest party Liverpool has ever seen !

It's nearly yabadabadoo time. ( I hope )

So.... lets say the news is Hicks is bust.

What are the implications? Got to be a fireside sale hasn't it as his 'guarantees' are now worthless as they are in the hands of an administrator?

Would the Hicks administrator therefore take over the sale of the club, ie Hick's assets?

What are the 39 Steps?

Even if the sale is agreed today, the docs wouldnt be signed for a month and no buyer would put cash into the biz until the ink was dry, so cant see how Loy can benefit from this?
