How he gets the money is entirely up to him and his investors as long as there is no debt on the club .

Mate out of all the countries on earth China has the least money worries. They are cash rich unlike our western countries which are in debt up to our eyeballs.

they most certainly have money worries. They hold an f-ton of American debt, which the USA cannot possibly pay back.  And they could be/are going through a huge domestic bubble of their own at the moment.

Well every country has some problems. The fact is though China has the biggest asset reserves in the world. As far as owning LFC goes that'll do for me.

Confusion over Kenneth Huang's Liverpool bid among claims and denials

Confusion surrounded Kenneth Huang’s bid for Liverpool on Friday night after a senior executive at one of America’s leading investment houses denied he was involved hours after he had been revealed as a key figure in the consortium.

Huang heads a group that his advisers on Friday said included Guang Yang, the executive vice-president of Templeton Global Equity Group, one of America’s most venerable financial institutions.

Yang is also a director of Huang’s Hong Kong-based company QSL Sports, which will be the ultimate controlling company should they succeed in buying Liverpool.

Yang’s role was made public on Friday morning by an American member of the consortium, Marc Ganis, in an interview with the Associated Press.

In the interview, authorised by Huang’s PR advisers, Hill and Knowlton Asia, Ganis said that the consortium’s investment vehicle and the search for financial backers was being led by Yang.

The involvement of a senior figure at the blue chip Franklin Templeton appeared to enhance the bid’s credibility, but on Friday night the company and Yang denied that they were involved in the bid.

On Friday afternoon The Daily Telegraph contacted Hill and Knowlton to confirm the content of Ganis’s interview, and was told that Yang was acting for the bid and that Ganis was a member of the consortium and authorised to speak on its behalf.

Hill and Knowlton also said that Franklin Templeton was effectively the investment bank for the consortium and that it was drawing up the investment contract.

However, Franklin Templeton then denied they were involved.

In a statement emailed by Dorine Johnson, the Head of Corporate Communications Europe, the company said: “Franklin Templeton Investments has no involvement in the Liverpool FC bid and Guang Yang, Executive Vice President of Templeton Global Equity Group, has also stated that he has no involvement.”

Ganis told The Daily Telegraph on Friday night that the Franklin Templeton statement was inaccurate, and that Yang was a member of the consortium.

“It has never been the case that Templeton has been involved, but Dr Yang certainly is.

"He is working on this outside his capacity as an employee of Franklin Templeton with a small independent team. They are revising the investment contracts right now.

"I can only think that the statement is the result of a confusion. Dr Yang will clear this up at the earliest opportunity.”

The denial of Yang’s involvement raises significant questions about who is running the Huang process, the commitment of its supposed backers and its public relations.

The latest confusion comes 24 hours after the source of Huang’s funding and the role of the China Investment Corporation, the Communist state’s sovereign wealth fund, was called into question.

CIC’s apparent support for Huang was reported widely in the UK media but in a draft statement issued and then withdrawn by Hill and Knowlton Asia, the link was denied.

Ganis said on Friday night: “CIC might be involved, they might not, but it is premature to say they are.”

The club and independent sources are satisfied that the Huang bid has merits but it is yet to provide proof of funds.

Liverpool chairman Martin Broughton has asked all remaining bidders to provide fully-funded offers for the club next week.

Broughton is hopeful that the process will help drive up the price and produce an offer that is acceptable to American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, who are seeking a profit from the deal, and the supporters desperate to see the back of them.

Ganis said in his interview that the Huang bid would not offer any premium to the owners, though there are suggestions privately that they abandon that position and offer as much as £400 million to get a deal done.

That would cover the club’s £237 million debt and provide a transfer budget, as well as a consideration for the owners.

well going by the bbc this morning there is only one real bid for the club and that is from Yahya Kirdi.

Huang's bid is to by the debt for the club yet that seem to have turned out that he has no backers?
the bbc understands that Yahya Kirdi is the only one to show them the money.

some in the media feel that Huang never had the backing or the money to make a bid?, it was more of an idea he had and if they said yes then he was going to look for backing.
