Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Just heard Stevei G has a suspected broken foot and could be out for 6 weeks.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

does anyone on this forum actually see this as a major surprise? ???

everyone knows gerrard's history of injuries, just the same as we knew michael owen's. the main concern is thet he's noe going to miss 9 MATCHES. :(

this period coming up will be a real test of how good our squad is, minus our best player. playing hamann should allow alonso more of a free role to dictate the play. :)

look at the bright side. At least now we will be able to see how we will perform without gerrard. If we manage to do ok, then it won't be end-of-the-world if he leaves of Real madrid.

But if we do badly, give gerrard 100 grand a week contract  :D

To be honest when Hamman came in we looked a bit better than we did when Gerrard was in the first half because Gerrard didn't play at his best. Gerrard is our best player but we can manage without him, just as we are managing without Owen and when we managed without Fowler,etc..

Well said as Alonso has shown his class and dare I say it is IMO a better passer than Gerrard.

Just looking at the fixtures there is a chance Gerrard's 1st game back will be arsenal at Anfield.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.
