I for one don't think Gerrard can/will or has the confidence in Liverpool management to bring any good football to Liverpool. One fact is based on his request of wanting new players signed to improve the squad, head scratching and etc. He's a great player but if his thinking is not right, it will not serve anyone well in this situation. If we can get some money off him and that he will get to play great football then I think it's best for both parties to sell him.

I'm saying this not because I do not appreciate his contribution to Liverpool, in fact it's the contrary.

Torres is certainly against him going to Real Madrid except maybe for Lucas

Gerrard has the quality to play in ANY team of the world. Yet, I think he would make an Owenesque mistake if he went there for glory.

I hope he'll stay at Liverpool.

With the amount Real spent last summer of Kaka and Ronaldo I can't see Maureen's "targets" being realistic.

He's just getting yet more column inches for himself.

Cole might go just to get out of the country, but to buy him, Lampard and Gerrard would cost something like £80-£100m, and then he has the age old problem of Lampard and Gerrard playing together.

He will want a couple of headline grabbing signings so he can be all sarcy and mysterious at another press conference, but I think Gerrard would be mad to go to Real just for Jose, as the stats say that no Real manager lasts more than 1 year...even when they win stuff, so this time next year he could be managed by Steve McClaren

no doubt mourinho is going to test him with an offer.he's tried before when at chelski and sure he'll try again at madrid.
its a dream move for any player and maybe he'll feel this is his last chance,he turns 30 on sunday and £30 mil would be a good price.
tbh i hope he stays and finishes his career with us,but would understand if he left.
anyway after the world cup we'll know.

There is no chance he`ll leave while times are tough, he`s liverpool captain and born and bred.
Alsohe`ll know if he leaves many would follow, he`ll not do that to us because he`s one of us too.

I really hope Gerrard will stay but it is quite possible that he will leave if the right offer does comes along. It also depends on the situation at the club. If there is no cash injection while the Club still remains in the hands of the two Yanks, chances are he will go.

I think there is a chance he will go, if he does then i would hope we would get all the money to reinvest, maybe even get Van der Vaart as part of the deal.
