Sky covering it now, out for the rest of the season.

Disaster for Stevie, I think we all know he's past his rampaging best, but I was hoping to see him play for another season or two.

Bugger.

"We still don't know definitively what the problem is," said the Scot.

"We will wait to get a precise answer from the people that he has to see but he won't be involved again this season."

-------

SS is on his way getting this right, if they won't know the nature of the injury then they won't know how to treat it. Lets hope they find it soon enough

Let's hope Stevie comes back strong next season.  If he doesn't, he may play our bench for another couple years before retiring, probably into management.  It's too bad that his career seems to be coming to an end like this.

Bit odd that our top specialists cant figure out whats up with Gerrard really. Would have thought these people are top dogs in their field and its not like hes just nipped into the walk in centre for a consultation or summat. Hes not long come off the op table and that so god knows whats up now and you fear the worst with such sketchy info being handed out.

It's not always easy to find out what's medically wrong with someone though :-(

Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

What happened to our renowned sports science team. Half the fu**ing team our out at the moment and both Kelly & Stevie have had set backs after routine sports injuries

I was wondering the exact same think... I thought we had like the best sports science doctors in the league or whatever, and yet half of our squad are out with long injuries.  They aren't even like, oh this player picked up a knock so will rest, because there's nothing the sports science doctors can do about that.  It's all in the muscles and tendons and what-not... Agger, Kelly, Johnson, Gerrard, Shelvey, Spearing, Carra, Cole, N'gog and I'm sure a few others have all had injuries this season that have kept them out for at least a month, most of those were out for at least 2 or 3.

perhaps the really bad news will be forthcoming during the summer break, when it can be softened with a signing or two.....just local gossip or chinese whispers from inside source.....not lakes by the way

Well I hope it's wrong SS. We could use Stevie next season, past his best or not.
