LIVERPOOL V SPURS

MINGOLET - 6 did okay, wasn't to blame for any of the goals and made 1 great save in particular but has to be said very lucky not to give away a pen
CAN - 8 my MoM, strong, powerful, quick - where ever he plays he is superb
SKRTEL - 7 made some important blocks when Spurs were on top
SAKHO - 5 he has been magnificent for months but his last two performances have been a bit shakey, has developed a tendency to try and shield the ball which invites opposition players to swarm all over him, he needs to get rid of it quicker. Slipped over to allow Kane in one one one with Mingolet too.
MORENO - 7 thought he was bright
HENDERSON - 6 struggled a bit to contain the likes of Dembele and Ericsson but not easy playing next to Gerrard in CM, Lucas is a top DM imo but he looks awful playing next to Gerrard as well.
GERRARD - 5 Brendan has got to realise that he's just not a DM, to be fair to Gerrard though it's not easy at 34/35 to be quicker to a loose ball than a 23 year old.
MARKOVIC - 6 hasn't been at the top of his game in recent weeks but scored a vital goal
COUTINHO - 6 did okay but his passing radar was a bit off, still a threat though
IBE - 7 faded a bit second half but his powerful direct running caused Spurs no end of problems, got a big future this lad
STURRIDGE - 7 not at his absolute best but still won us a penalty and nearly scored with an audacious back heel.

MINGOLET - 6 Good save from Lamela and collected crosses comfortably, had his usual shocking distribution and nearly gave away a stupid penalty
CAN - 8 MOM, played very well in two positions and continues to grow in stature with every game
SKRTEL - 7 Very solid performance
SAKHO - 6 Careless in possession a few times which could of cost us but generally solid
MORENO - 7 Lots of energy and workrate, pity he dosnt have any quality with the ball at his feet
HENDERSON - 6 Worked hard and played some good balls but his lack of quality shows too much in the final third, touch, passing and shooting all very average
GERRARD - 6 Struggled to get to grips with the game and most of it passed him by, showed his usual composure under pressure for the penalty
MARKOVIC - 5 Poor performance, even his goal was a horrible effort that somehow went in, weak, cheap in possession and just not very good
COUTINHO - 6 Was busy and involved a lot but his passing was off tonight, struggled with the extra attention from hard working Spurs midfielders
IBE - 7 Another good performance, faded in the second half but did well for the final goal, why did we sign Markovic when we have this guy?
STURRIDGE - 7 Still rusty and not up to his top level yet but was still a threat, got 2 assists and unlucky not to score

BALLOTELLI - 7 Great moment when he scored his goal and the whole team mobbed him

LALLANA - 7 Lively when he came on and provided the vital assist for Ballotelli

Allen - 8 - best game in a long long time
Henderson - 7 - played better 2nd half

Mignolet - 8 - probably MOM. Had a few key saves and commanded his area well. Did all he could for their goal
Can - 7 - not as good as we're used to seeing him but was still pretty solid
Skrtel - 5 - might have been fouled for the goal but was still pretty shaky, everything Palace had was pretty much because of him

Allen - 6 - didn't see anything special but wasn't horrible
Henderson - 7 - played alright and a good assist

MINGOLET - 8 coped remarkably well with Palace's direct approach, not at fault for the goal either in fact he did really well to block Gayle's initial effort
CAN - 7 decent game
SKRTEL - 6 one or two shaky moments but did okay generally
SAKHO - 7 looked much more like his old self
MORENO - 6 decent performance
HENDERSON - 7 played well I thought
ALLEN - 7 like Hendo worked hard in the engine room and unlucky not to score with a rasping volley
MARKOVIC - 6 did okay I thought, Balotelli carried more threat though so no arguments with the decision to substitute him
LALLANA - 7 can be a bit lightweight at times but he's got class, works hard and scored
COUTINHO - 6 a little bit subdued by his normally high standards but still a threat
STURRIDGE - 7 great goal and looking more like his old self with every passing week

MINGOLET - 8 Very Good Game ,had to deal with a lot of set pieces and did it very well
CAN - 7 - Ok game, Defensively the Trio today was pretty rattled with many unforced errors.
SKRTEL - 6  See Can + brain-dead minutes of wild kicks and fouls
SAKHO - 7 See Can
MORENO - 7 Was ok
HENDERSON - 7 Was ok and great assist for Goal
ALLEN - 7 Was good ,looked much more confident with the ball and liked his forward passing.
MARKOVIC - 5 Having a very bad spell as of late ,need to grow a pair and decide if he wants to be a player in a big team. Very lightweight.
LALLANA - 7 Good game and great awareness for the goal ,capable of much more.
COUTINHO - 6 Very average game again
STURRIDGE - 7 Was ok ,Great goal but not very sharp most of the game.

Lambert - 7 - thought he and Mario managed to keep possession very good at the end.

Mignolet - 8 - Another very solid game
Can - 6 - good game but made a few sloppy mistakes
Skrtel - 7 - solid performance
Sakho - 7 - solid performance
Allen - 7 - his passing getting better
Henderson - 6 - did ok
Moreno - 8 - one of his best games so far
Ibe 9 - clear man of match, so direct, pacey and a genuine threat
Coutinho - 6 - couldnt get into it in this match
Lallana - 6 - same as coutinho
Sturridge - 6 - solid, good to see him get 90 mins under his belt

Lovren - 5 - did ok, yellow cards with less than 5 minutes on
Sterling - 7 - looked back to his old self
Balotelli - 7 - pleased he took the penalty, did well when he came on

Mignolet - 8 - Very confident with one super save.
Can - 5 - Thought he was poor ,confused ,some terrible pass which luckily ended safely. Nervous against a Turkish team?
Skrtel - 7 - solid performance
Sakho - 8 - Good ol'e Sakho ,confident ,sharp and effective passing
Allen - 7 - Good performance ,confident ,hardly missed a pass nor lost a ball.
Henderson - 6 - Ok and i'm generous ,breaks plays (ours) and find it very difficult to stop/control the ball. This Captain stance is a bit way over his level.
Moreno - 7 - Active all day long really worked the flank.
Ibe 9 - Unstoppable ,the only part i'm missing in his game is maybe passing on time.
Coutinho - 5 - Poor again ,and what ***** me the most was his selfishness at times ,could have easily set players to 1on1 with the keeper.
Lallana - 6 - Ok but can do much more ,his miss against the goal was one of the worst i've seen in a long time.
Sturridge - 6 - Bad attitude to the game ,selfish and not effective.

Lovren - 5 - Again hurried his tackles ,too careless for my taste
Sterling - 6 - not enough minutes but looked ok with a few good runs.
Balotelli - 8 - hate the lad but he did everything ok ,precise ,accurate ,confident.
