i said RUMOUR and since this is a RUMOUR involving lucas neil, which is what this thread is about, i thought i'll just post it here.

I think if a player signs a 5 year contract he has every right to see out that contract or the club can buy out his contract.  If a player doesn’t have that right then whats the point of contracts?  Bogarde was on very good money at Chelsea.  He didn’t ask not to be played, Chelsea made that decision.  Yet he had a contract and was well within his right to see out that contract.  I wouldn’t call it leeching as the clubs give the players the contracts.

I said that they were a disgrace and that it was disappointing that they would rather earn money than play football. Its not like either Diao or Bogarde would be short of money, but to know you are not in the managers plans and to turn down a move just to take extra money from the club just shows what these two men are all about.
The sooner this year is up and Salif is on the scraphead the better. He wont be able to use his extortionate wages as a bargaining tool then.

Reports coming of Sky Sports News is that Salif Diao, currently a member of Liverpool Football Club, is a conman. The " real" Salif Diao, disapeared when the plane he was travelling on from Sydney to LA, to watch a Lakers game, disapeared. Many experts believe the plane crashed somewhere by Fiji. The "real" Diao, who also when by the name Eko, disapeared with the rest of flight 815 and it is something of a internet conspiracy about the missing plane.

  The conman "Diao" is actually a fisherman from Senegal who was playing football on the planes of Senegal, when Mr Houllier, who was in town to sign Diouf, walked pass, "Diao" had just tackled a 8 year old boy and Houllier was amazed. He approached the fisherman, and asked him his name. As the fisherman had been in shock since Senegals win over France at World Cup 2002, he had not stopped chanting the goal scorers name - the man " Salif Diao". When asked his name, his reply "Salif Diao, Salif Diao!!!!"

Houllier immediatly signed him on a 5 year 20 grand a week contract.

Unfortunatley the real diao's body has never been found, and the fake diao still has not sorted out his speech problem.
