You all seem to forget he knows what it is to win a league and European Cup so he knows what is needed. He has made mistakes too but at the end of the day if he was given the same funds as his fellow top 4 managers we wouldn't be where we are now.
FFS We have the manager himself and even players crying out loud for funds to be made. Does that not say anything to you?
Bav, tbh I'm sick to the teeth hearing the "I've no funds...." whinge from Rafa. Now he's got Torres saying it as well...Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I would not be at all surprised if Torres has been egged on to go public with those comments.
Rafa *has* had a shedload of money to spend over the years. And he has bought an awful lot of rubbish. A lot of players who none of the other clubs were looking at, or that we realistically had two hopes of getting - both extremes.
Hell, even *I* could put together the kind of wishlist he did and they'd sweep everyone aside. but that's not the real world. Rafa has made an awful lot of cr@p purchases, his judgement is flawed.
