Johnson - Free
Balotelli - 15 million (hopefully)
Lovren - 12 million
Borini - 7 million

Those will finance a 34-35 million player, hopefully we can get Barkley for that. Another 30-35 million pound striker and we will be much stronger...

Man, that is super optimistic. :)

Johnson - free
Balotelli - will not go anywhere close to what we paid for him. He will be difficult as he is on a high wage too.
maybe 10 million if we are lucky.
Lovren - Around 10 should be possible
Borini - Bosman next summer all the way. He has shown he wants to go back to Italy and has turned down several bids from midtable and bottom clubs.
And Italian clubs are ALWAYS cheap and will be waiting to take him for free next summer.

So, I'd say 20 million tops for those 4.

Problem is lads when you are that desperate to get rid of something you don't want no one will give you a fair price.
None of those players will go to a bigger club and FFP will ensure the lower ones won't pay a fee and take on those wages. I have also read that manquillo's loan deal will be cancelled so i wouldn't put it past them to extend johnsons contract at the last minute either.

This summers clear outs = Undisclosed  and we lose another small fortune  :nod

Additionally, One does not buy players that do not fit the system  employed or are  not going to use.  This is how BR works when left to own devices, and this is how LFC ended up with the likes of Alberto, Aspas, and  Ilori. These are just 3 of the players, there are more. Money wasted left, right and centre.

The business is to get an asset that will contribute to your bottom line (ultimate goal)...oh we could go for a cheaper, no risk option for £16M, pay him £110K per week to sit on the bench. So that's how it works eh?

It's shocking that BR gave up on fourth place ages ago. If it had been a genuine attemp at mind games I'd have said it was worth a shot. But it wasn't. And then the daft idiot sees Manure implode and realises we could have made fourth if he'd bothered to motivate the players these last couple of months.

BR never prepared the team for the crucial game this season ,we were not ready to play against Basel and the Bulgarians ,never ready against the Turks ,never against Villa and never against W.Brom and Hull...Another epic failure in game readiness and players motivation. Their isn't really one aspect of managerial roles in which BR didn't tank magnificently. I'll credit him for getting the team rolling for a bit as he found some balance in the team but it was all a mirage waiting to implode/explode.

At LFC, BR is a failed big time, he is essentially a politician and only interested in being a manager but not actually doing what a manager does. BR is a self-serving person that will do absolutely anything and say absolutely anything to avoid taking the responsibility for his countless list of gaffs and blunders. He will go to great lengths to rubbish everyone he needs to including the Owners by taking cheap shots by saying "he needs marque signings" or words to that affect to the Press/media et al, just to safe his own backside.  Whereas, these Owners provided him with extensive funds, they gave him £200m+ plus to do just that (buy top quality players). He has to go, now.  Mediocrity is essentially unacceptable, and the moment some fans start accepting this failure (seems like some have from reading comments here) due to fear of daring, wanting to be better, then failure is all you will get. Whether or not he'll go remains to be seen, but come the end of the season, the Owners,  and most importantly, Michael Gordon and his team of advisors, better do the right thing and get rid of him.

As shown in the movie Braveheart,  the "hanging" was a slow strangulation (not a neck snapping drop) and the victim was cut down before death so as to be concious when their belly's where sliced open and their guts pulled out.
