I was looking for a thread which bore the little fellas name (I apologise if one already exists )  ,but I cant seem to find one .I mean even Konchesky has one ???  ...
I would say I was one of Spearings more stubborn dissenters, but on the back of his last two performances I think he deserves some praise ... The Lad has certainly done the job Daggerz has told him to do on the pitch ,and he gives 100% that cant be denied .... So looks like its humble pie for me .
Well done Jay Spearing ,you have took your opportunity well Lad.We all know there is far more talented players out there, but with considerably less heart .....  doing all the harrying and jostling (The dirty work ) has had a marked effect on the effectiveness  of  our midfield

I love watching him put tackles in, does so with so much determination to win the ball. Looks like a good hassling player, certainly willing to do the dirty work anyway. He's getting my praise. We might even have some decent depth going into next season for a change :D
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

He's definitely one Id keep as decent back up ,and that's a complete reverse from what I originally believed  .... I hope he keeps proving me wrong ,he's been more than  good enough  these last two games ....

On outright ability, the lad is decent... no more than that.

His heart makes the difference though...... could be just the mongrel type of player that we need..... our version of Fletcher.

Deffo a keeper..... Good squad player for the 1st team.

Deserves all the plaudits he's getting at the moment as he's been playing out of his skin the past 4-5 games now. He's a tenacious little bugger and he is getting around the park much like Masch used to. His passing has come on in leaps and bounds and he's shown he's not afraid to have a shot. Much credit has to go to Kenny who has clearly instilled a lot of confidence in the lad and it's paying off. Also, he is developiong an excellent partnership with Lucas. I really like them together.

Threads merged...

I've been impressed by this lad of late as well and he's clearly grown into a good squad player--not something that many would have thought likely just a few months ago.  Kudos to Kenny for blooding these youngsters so effectively.
