Can you imagine his celebration when he finally scores a goal?  He's going to go bonkers.

Fully deserved, like Lucas hes exactly the type of player you want at this club. He, like Lucas (although i cant see Lucas not being a starter next season) may not be in the starting 11 next year but you know they will come in and give 100% for the cause. Thier the type of players who bring the sqaud together in training and in the locker room aswell with thier positive friendly attitudes.

Was very good again , his partnership with lucas is blossoming . Both would make the squad stronger if we bought real top quality in in the summer .

The lads played his socks off but he's today's standard and not Champions League winner standard.

Future captain of Bolton, Blackburn, Villa or Birmingham.

Nonetheless we still need players like spearing if we are to challenge the league. Look how the mancs have used players like phil Neville and Fletcher...

He was sadly lacking the attributes to be effective against Spurs ...

Agree it was a tough game for him.
I honestly think that tactically we got it wrong though and they had 3 on 2 most of the game.
We can all see his limitations and against clever footballers like Modric and Van der Vaart it was highlighted.
It may have been a different story had we had an extra body in there though.

Modric was brilliant in their midfield his touch was exquisite .
We needed something else other than plain industry in ours to have taken anything away from that game .... Spearing tried hard enough but lacked the quality needed to best Modric and Co .The Lad has given his best in the last few games but against really good passing teams he comes up short (No pun intended)

There has been alot of criticism of Spearing since Saturday's game and just to get some perspective on his role at Liverpool in 2011 / 2012 i'm going to throw out a question and i'd be interested in hearing your views.....Who would you prefer to have in our team.....Jay Spearing or Darren Fletcher ?
