I would prefer a knackered over the hill Gerrard to Milner !!

Good to see him get hooked, and get bollocked by Klopp.

His performances have not been good enough, hopefully he gets some time on the sidelines.

if we sidelined every player whose performances haven't been good enough we'd have a team of under 16's playing for us.

Think Milner is coming in for a bit of unwarranted stick from some of us in here.

He was bought by Rodgers as a short term fix to add some "maturity" and experience to the team. Certainly not the most talented or creative player we've ever employed, but the fella gets stuck in and puts in a shift.

During this period of re-building Milner is the type of "work horse" that I'm sure Klopp appreciates as a useful member of the squad.

You don’t buy guys who have built their careers on being “runners” at this stage in their careers. Bit worrying when a “runner” dangles a leg and falls over rather than follow his man a couple of minutes into a game. He has been pretty poor since he came and I think he’ll lose his place in the next few games.

Spot on. He is a tough leader for the youngster to learn from.should he start every game? Probably not but same goes for Can and Lucas ,not sure he got his optimal position figured out yet.

I didnt like him at leeds. I couldnt stand him at city. I laughed at him in an england shirt.
I have never rated or liked him, but I was prepared to give him a chance here, if, and its a big IF, he brought something to the table i.e. passing, crossing, tackling, assisting, in fact anything that a professional with his experience should bring? Sadly he has been absolutely useless in most of his games so far and has been average at best. Maybe he will be given time to turn it around?
I trust the manager will make the right decision regarding him, sooner rather than later...

You two are clearly seeing something that the majority of us aren't. He is a slightly above average player and that is me being very generous. Certainly hasn't got the leadership qualities of SG or an ounce of his heyday playing ability. LET'S NOT FORGET THAT THIS SHORT TERM FIX EARNS £120K A WEEK !! I know he was on a free but even so that is three times what we paid Suarez when he joined. I don't get it to be honest. Just another Joe Cole !!

The number of members who bang on about how much this player cost or how much that player earns   :p

There are times when I find myself wondering just how many accountants are in this forum.

I wouldn't say I'm seeing Milner differently from everybody else, obviously Klopp see's something as well, which is probablywhy he keeps picking him.

He's not LFC's future and next season I doubt he'll be playing as regularly as he has been this term but right now Milner's a more than useful squad member.

I very rarely, if ever, mention money when I talk about football, neither for transfer fees of wages. Lets be honest, its scandalous really how much a "top class" player gets these days. So its irrelevant to me how much he gets. If he was worth it I wouldnt give a sh'it.
But he isnt

He wasn't that great in the league cup final...
