We'd have won that game without a doubt if that knobhead Kewell was't playing and Crouch had been on from the start.

Did you watch the match?  Kewell was 1 of our best players.

Calm down lads, today is not a day for recriminations.Ok Rafa could have picked a different team, but he didnt for whatever reason.Who knows whats going on behind the scenes.Fact is,we deserved to win and we didnt get that little bit of luck.Im certainly not going to critisise the gaffer in the week his old man died.

JB...ease up mate. We're all entitled to our opinions.

You are responding as though you were the only one that supported LFC today. As LFC supporters, we all lost today. Yeah, mistakes were made and some things could have been done better...but that's football for you.

Just ease up a bit is all I'm saying. Some of your posts could see you banned from here quicker than...     ???

FO Kewell

Todays game was as important as any game in our history, the bluernoses here were calling it the subbbutio cup and all that crep but when will any of us see the club in this situation again ?

We were on a run that was important, we had set standards, made records and we've thrown it all away with a poor team selection and that is the truth of the matter.

We were stuffed out of sight by Flamenco (or whoever they were) but today was there for the taking and it would have been a significant marker in the history of LFC. Shoud have never happoened !

Don't lose the perspective, did Dalglish Liverpool lost a bit of their legend because they lost against Flamengo 3-0? we've all seen the refs today. Let's move on, we're in a sweet moment.

John, you seem unable to admit when you're wrong.  The reason we lost, isn't because we played bad, it's because we didn't put our chances away.  We know it, Rafa knows it, heck even the TV guys know it, and said so accordingly!

On another day, we would have won 3-1, but we didn't.  Dodgy offsides and an off form Morientes cost us.  Bottom line is, its over and it's time to look forward to beating Newcastle and chasing Chealsea

But it did....

No use beating yourself up (or anyone standing near you) over it. There were a lot of positives in today's performance which will give us all hope for future games.

What doesn't kill you, you learn from. Our lads would have learnt a lot.

johnbull, we did everything but winning it; we dominated the game, created more than enough of chances upfront, even scoring goals (which, the latest one defo counts). what would you expect if we had played a different lineups? six dissalowed goals instead of three? 33 corners instead of 17? 80% possesion?

Warnock and Hyppia cost us the game. Sissoko and Moro were ineffective. Kewell was our only wide player and profited because of it.

I thought Sissoko was like a chook with his head cut off. He's wasted a lot of time and energy running backwards and forwards trying to close down players (I suspect that's what he was doing anyway).

I wouldn't go as far as to blame Hyypia & Warnock entirely for the loss. At the other end we didn't put chances away...someone is responsible for that too remember. :;):
