Plus, the ground that Highburry is on will be sold for other uses and that will also give them quite a lot of money.


A good point that I never thought of. The land in North London is gonna be worth a lot more than we could get for Anfield.

It's all ok saying "Move with the times", etc, but Liverpool FC is all about tradition and values, not selling out to the highest bidder.

It'll be one sad day when Anfield is no longer our home ground. :(

kuyt has brought up a point that i was wondering myself, why havnt the club made sure the new ground had a kop. with a new design the club could of made the stand behind one of the goals bigger, infact bigger than the kop we have now.

seems to me now that little thought as gone into this other than how can we fleece the fans even more.

talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

but dont worry to much because im sure they`ll make sure there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.
