I agree with Reg I think him not wearing a high prfile number at the club isnt an issue easpecially as it looks as if he realises what an amazing oppurtunity he has unlike the fecker Sterling

On a side not its a sad day knwoing that the number 8 shirt is vacant

I'm giving him a chance. Not that it's matter much if I didn't. I'm merely stating I find it worrying. What's the point in a discussions board if you don't discuss stuff? If you want the forum to be silent over summer then why post?

Ings hasn't showed a great mentality. I'm sure he'll improve with us. But it's rare a persons mentality in such matters as aggression and drive will change drastically in adulthood.

Danny, 24 today, happy birthday, and how does he celebrate ? by scoring a hatrick in a behind closed doors friendly in Kuala Lumpa

We beat Felda 7-0, the other scorers were.. Markovic, Ojo and Teixeira

sorry my maths are pretty poor, the other scorer was Chirivella

By initial point though was to praise Ings for a hatrick, 4 goals in 2 games (yes average/poor opposition) but nice he is finding the net  :nod

I know he scored the other day against Adelaide but how did he play generally?

Today's game was behind closed doors, so no footage available as of yet, i am sure they will make it available on their "premium service" later for those that can afford it

I wasn't talking specifically about today's game mate (although thanks for the heads up) I meant pre-season in general.

Others will probably disagree, but he has looked a real live wire, much faster than i realised, gets into good positions, decent header of ball, looks very accomplished, i am thinking and well hoping he proves a lot of people wrong

His goal against Adalaide reminded me of a young Owen

He's been alright in my book. Nothing fancy against poor opposition overall for this years preseason.
We play tomorrow at either 1245 or 1.45 so you will get a chance to judge for yourself.

Must start more matches "up front", he played very well today when he came on, chased down every ball, stopped balls going our for goal kicks etc...

Took his goal really well

I agree i think he deserves the credit to continue and prove his worth. Sturridge can wait a bit.
