JORDAN IBE - OFFICIAL THREAD

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby red till i die!! » Sat Jul 20, 2013 9:17 pm

noticed he doesn't have his own thread and thought we could do with one seen as he might be featuring for us next season.
he is still only 17 so im sure he still has plenty of maturing to do but what a blistering turn of pace to set up the second goal. reminded me of jordi alba the way he just came out of nowhere.
Thoughts?

what really suprised me about him, and i have only watched him 4 or 5 times, is apart from being lightning quick he is also very strong and really good in the air

would love to see this kid get some proper game time rather than buying in these 6-8 million spanish imports all the time

good idea mate, the way he is developing he could be a first team regular before the season is out.
both him and sterling have probably looked our sharpest players so far this pre season, it looks like both of them have been working hard over the summer.

This. He's both fast and physically powerful. Could be a great player for us, even at a very young age. I think I like him more than Sterling.

i think it's a good thing. A loan deal now will really fast track his development, realistically he will only play a very small part if he stays here. Birmingham will offer lots if first team starts.

Came off the bench to change the game in birminghams favour last weekend, Infact jack Robinson got sent off trying to stop him! Birmingham boss Lee Clarke praised Ibe by saying he's got the lot - power, pace, skill etc and said he'd only been in Birmingham 2 days and only had one training session but he was so impressive that they put him in the first team squad.
Clarke also said that they are lucky to have him, he said half the clubs in the country were asking Liverpool if they could loan him.
Incidentally a lot of Blackpool fans are saying that Robinson has been their player of the season so far.

Me thinks someone needs to check their facts....

Robinson has been sent off a ridiculous amount of times this season.

The lad is progressing well but like with all players the biggest step of all is into the first team
and making an impact.

For an attacking player like Ibe that's not just running about but changing the course of games,
and that's very difficult to do when up against seasoned pros.

There will have to be a big moment for him, then he has to follow that up, its not easy breaking
through and it was touch and go for Sterling, small details and a bit of luck can alter the course
of a young players career.

Mirror reporting that Jordan is off to Bolton on loan, seems a shame really as thought he might make his break through this season
