Love his enthusiasm and attitude. Hope we start him up front with Studge if Benteke is injured.

Yep, loved his attitude yesterday. Keep this up and will quickly become a fan favorite. As long as he keeps scoring of course.

Newspapers reporting that Ings is set for an England call up

Good news for the lad and will help bring him onto the next level

Wonder if this will affect his compensation fee tho ??

It's not going to affect his fee ridiculously, we may have to pay an extra few quid but it won't increase his fee by tens of millions or anything.
Ings may turn out to be a very handy player for us, kind of like Naysmith over the park there are better players in the Everton squad than the Scot like Mirallas but his workrate and (Brendan-ism alert) 'honesty' means that he turns up to play every week.
You can see the dilemma for managers, do you play the honest grafter who will give you 6.5 - 7 every week or the better player who will give you an 8 out of 10 performance one week but a 4 the next.
I think both Benteke and Sturridge are far better players than Ings but Ings works his @rse off, doesn't throw the towel in mentally when things aren't going right and he doesn't let his shoulders drop if he has to graft up front all game (chasing aimless punts would break most players spirit but to be fair to the lad he has got a big heart).
Imo at the moment Ings should be one of the first names down on the team sheet, yes we probably lose something in terms of technical ability but we have had an attitude problem for 12 months where we give in too easily and I think having someone like him leading the line massively helps in that respect.

Agree with that, Ings and Studge should start, even when Benteke is back. Let Ben ease his way into the team, but having Ings and Studge chasing and pressing is what is needed for the team at the moment.

Im hoping he will be given a good chance from the new boss.
He has a lot of potential to be a great asset for us.
He reminds me of Kuyt/Bellamy.

Love this guy. He works his absolute ***** off. Just needs to keep his head up when on the ball as he misses a few team mates in better positions.

This is bad for Ings because this was the best time to impress JK and shine.

FFS another one! That's 2 of our summer signings out for the season.
Those cruciate injuries can be nasty as well, players often return within 12 months but it can take a similar amount of time again before they get back to their best.
Thoughts go out to the 2 lads.
