not good enough for me.  Hopefully we can move him on with a clause to get percentage of any future fee. He lacks the ability to make it here.

Promising young CB who had played well in the CL.

Seemed a good transfer, just never worked out. Can't see what was strange about it though

Sometimes you lose hope that young players will ever come good in our first 11.  Wilson is gone.  Coates will probably have to leave as he won't get many chances here.  Flanagan looked decent for a few games under Kenny but has completely fallen off the radar.  Rafa seemed to somewhat rate Damien Plessis for awhile and god only knows what happened to him. 
Nemeth and Pacheco looked like quality players for awhile yet neither made the grade here.  Still can't get permanently rid of Pacheco. 

With no Europa League next season you have to wonder realistically how many of our young players will get a chance to develop.

Out of all of the above, I really only had high hopes for Coates, and he has been poison in each game I've seen him play. Pity, 'cos he's a big lad and should be making better use of his height and alleged footballing abilities....
