ysjdhjhofhafhfahafyet, what ever your name is  :D  in no way am i disagreeing with what you say.

Whatever achievements or trophies where won in those eras where without doubt great successes, what i mean is these clubs havent done it over other eras like we have.

We will always win things i think, we may win slightly less than we did 70-80's but we will still pick up trophies, your evertons and wolves wont.

I like Rodgers so far and I have a feeling he could do a very good job and be here for a long time.  Reminds me of Rafa a small bit.

I think the aim for next season has to be to adopt this style of play that we keep talking about.  For the last 2 seasons we haven't had a style of play.
Roy's tactics were awful and not suited to an ambitious club, hence he got sacked quickly.  Originally Kenny had us playing some fantastic pass + move football but for whatever reason he ditched that in favour of a more direct approach.

So for me, we need to get behind Rodgers and this new football philosophy and see were it takes us.

Its no exaggeration to say in the limited amount of time Rodgers has had to work with all the team ,our first half display was nothing short of sensational.
True , this was only Gomel ,but our approach play was at times breathtaking ,and the short precise passing style Rodgers insists on looks like its only a
few more games away from being implemented more than we had dared to hope for ....

Brendan Rodgers based on last nights display looks to have transformed this team completely ,and if this is the style of exciting one touch football we are
going to see under the manager ,then he has my full backing in whatever decisions he makes in regards to personnel .

Forget the owners ,as far as this team is concerned it couldn't be in more capable hands than Brendan Rodgers .

For my sins mate ,I do have trouble disguising my optimism ,but I'm just getting a bit peeved with some of the despondency on here ...

Its a new season mate, and we have just been given a glimpse of the exciting football Rodgers intends to instil into this team ,so lets run with it . :D

Sensational ?! Breathtaking ? Transformed the side ?

We played well but lets not get carried away - lets see what happens when the real stuff starts - that was no more than a pre season friendly last night RBG

Its going to take a lot longer than a couple games

What would you consider an impressive start to the season Benny?

How may points from our first four games (knowing the difficulty of 2,3 & 4) would you consider to be a positive start?

Yep, it was only (no disrespect meant to Gomel) no more than a pub time, however, I have not witnessed us playing with such freedom for a long time and there seemed to be near telepathic connections when the ball was laid off on many occasions.

Totally agree lets not get carried away but I for one feel more optimistic going into the new season than I did a matter of days ago.

Well i saw us play like that numeorus times last season withoout putting the ball in the fecking net.

No idea what we can call a good start - I think 6-7 points from the first 4 would be a decent start.

Very long way to go yet.

It was a good performance of solid passing, movement, pace and creativity I was impressed.

There's still a long way to go and we must continue to take one game at a time but I'm more optimistic about the season after watching that performance last night.
