Better to stay quiet and have people think you are stupid than to write this stuff and prove it.

on the point of not getting any goals he is classed as a holding midfielder so thats not his job but he still chips in every now and again

And then some people say Rafa sticks to Morientes because he's Spanish. I'd rather say that some people don't forgive a mistake to the players who are from abroad.

My sources inside Anfield tell me that Real Madrid will bid £20 squillion squid for future FIFA World Player Of The Year.......Djimi Traore.

Liverpool Football Club are seriously considering the offer.

Surprise Surprise, Just the reception i thought this thread would get. Once again an opinion is broadcast and all it gets is slated.  I'm being serious Alonso is a good player he has produced the goods on occasions, but more often than not he has been found wanted. Where are all these muppets getting Alonso is world class, Gerrard, Ronaldinio, Messi, Viera these are world class players, Alonso is not in there class and probably will never be. If he took players on with skill, had more strenghth, and scored more goals then "Yes" he would be a class player. "WORLD CLASS" that is. But in my "OPINION" he is just a good player, same as Lampard he is overrated. So if Madrid come calling 20m for a good player is good buisness.

nothing wrong with a little criticism.

if you watch Alonso for 90 mins when he plays, watch how many passes he actually produces to create goal scoring opportunities. I'll tell you, not many!

Ok , he spreads the ball left and right, short passes, long passes. but they are normally from one side to the other, and not going forward.

pass left, pass right, pass back. repeat. pass left pass right, pass back. and cue for 80 mins. He rarely creates much in terms of attacking play.

he's alright, but has weaknesses. Bought from Real Sociedad who arent even in Serie A in Italy.

Hmm, maybe we should get rid of Gerrard & Carragher too while we're at it.

Hey, Stevie and Carra are the back bone of this team. That lad was right though passes across, back etc without the end product more times than not. Alonso is another of the spanish players that looked world class in the spanish league because he had more time on the ball, and wasn't pressed as much as over here, the physical side of the game is where these spanish players are struggling to cope with. Morientes is the prime example, as when Garcia is on the ball gets hurried into making mistakes, now its happening with Alonso....

No, I think the Wizard has a point...

It's a shame it has nothing whatsoever to do with his knowledge of football.
