I am not in the slightest bit worried.
They may have signed some of the worlds best players in the past but only the Figo one out of the transfers you mentioned was a difficult signing to pull off.
Owen was virtually out of contract.
Beckham was not wanted anymore by Ferguson who was fed up of the circus that surrounds him.
Alonso cost us 10 million, since then he has won the champions league (he even scored the equaliser in the final).
He would now be worth about 20 million, and even if Real offered it Rafa would not sell one of his best players, and his main source of communication on the pitch.

Real Madrid  wanted him when he left Real Socieadad anyway so he obviously wasnt interested i them. Hes having a great season and doing great things with this team and cant really think of any reason why he would want to go. This is just Madrid tactics trying to shake everyone up hoping that something goes their way. When Alsonso came we paid around 11M for him, now id say hes worth easily around 17M. And after they way Real mucked us around with Figo and Owen they will be lucky if they buy anyone from our team. em.

There were plenty of other big people over the years that they wanted to get but never did. This is how they like to do business but they wont break this new Liverpool team.
