really looking forward to this game. when you look at spain's side, the talent they've got is frightening but they've always been the perennial underachievers. good to see both alonso and garcia get starts.

GK 1 Casillas
DF 15 Sergio Ramos
DF 5 Puyol
DF 22 Pablo Ibáñez
DF 3 Pernía
DM 14 Xabi Alonso
AM 16 Marcos Senna
AM 8 Xavi
F 11 Luis García
F 9 Fernando Torres
F 21 Villa

don't underestimate ukraine though. they could do some serious damage in this tournament after topping their qualifying group.

i have money on david villa to be top scorer in the tournament so hope he bags a hatrick. if not today then he should fill his boots against tunisia and saudi arabia.  :D

Unfortunately I'm going to be at work, I'll have to use the radio and watch it tonight.

I don't understimate Ukraine, basically because I know the history of the world cups I've seen of Spain since 1982, in which I don't remember a single win in the first match.

Looking forward to this match. It will be interesting to see how Torres and Villa do today. Good luck to the Liverpool boys (Hopefully including Villa  :D )

I wouldn't put anything on Spain, rubbish every tournament. I don't know if it is because many don't believe Spain is a proper country or whether they just bottle it.

Also - what is Raul doing playing? total cr*p and in there on reputation.

Well if you hear that many times, I'd suggest you to change the people who you listen to as the ones you are listening now would be a bunch of ignorants.

Let's keep this conversation about Footie.

???

Past his best, plus new young midfielders arising (Xavi, Cesc, Alonso), and the fact that in the last Euro we were a bit dull with him. He's still a good midfielder though.

Spain has the lowest average age of the world cup teams.

The Spanish anthem has no lyrics, as we removed the stupid ones of Franco and we didn't bother to compose a new one  :D that's why people sing lololololo
