Watford v Liverpool 24/11 15.00pm k.o.

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby devaney » Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:05 pm

Santa - Henderson played his usual game. Clearly it is what Klopp wants him to do. We have a brilliant defence and a very stable midfield that perhaps does more to support the defence rather than the attack. Over the last few seasons we have dropped points to some poor teams because of our defensive frailties. If Klopp’s current system means that we are incredibly difficult to beat then I can live with that !!

Let’s enjoy the positives - there are a lot of them.

Did you criticise Hodgson?

When it was warranted and we were languishing 3 points from the relegation zone , being knocked out of the League Cup by Northampton and playing players like Poulsen and Konchesky - he was the worst manager in our history

Right now we are 2 points from the top - unbeaten in the league in 13 games , have our best squad and manager for prob over a decade maybe longer and really great chance at winning the big trophies -

If you can’t see the difference between the two and the warrented criticism Hodgson got compared to the constant stuff you and others produce right now then there is no hope.

What have you done in management to question Roy? Have you managed Inter Milan? Have you managed a team in the World Cup?

Fkg silly comment Yakka. Everybody criticised Hodgson because we were absolutely shight. Hodgson was H & G’s parting shot and he should never have been allowed anywhere near LFC. Constructive criticism is fine but whinging when we are doing well is pathetic.

Did i say Klopp is getting it all wrong? You are either Klopp number #1 fan or a 5 year old..Managers get things wrong it happens all the time whats the shocker here? Klopp got his GK and defense wrong for a few years and Yes he got Hendo wrong. We are winning with him and without him ,he is plain average..We can do much better and we will do it just takes much more time then required.

Spurs 2-0 vs Chelsea a draw would be perfect however if one is to win I'd want Spurs because Chelsea imo are a stronger threat to 2nd :D well i mean 1st.

Hodgson wasn’t criticised for what he did at Inter Milan it was for what he did at Liverpool - you are constantly negative about a team unbeaten challenging for the title - inexplainable - what a stupid attempt to find some comparison

Another clean sheet, only conceded 5 goals in 13 games - same as Citeh. Scored 26 goals - 2 per game!

Truth be told...I will enjoy another 25 boring 1-0 wins  :buttrock

Whether we criticise or be happy with this win, I think all of us wants the same just that we have different interpretation on how we want to go about managing & winning games. A win don't mean we have nothing to be critical about. For now I will settle with getting the results, and I think that's exactly what Klopp is doing now

3-0 Spurs is running riot now...safe to say I reckoned we will end the day 3 points above Spurs and 5 above Chelski. I'll take that

Didn't watch the game as not televised so not sure how well we played / if we controlled the game etc. So looking forward to watching the highlights.

Look, our defence is solid as a rock, just 5 conceded in 13 games as Reg said. Last season we had conceded 17 by now.
We just need to keep pace and stay in touch with Man City which we are doing without playing brilliantly.

We will know where we stand in the title race come start of January. If we are more than 10 point's adrift of Guardiolas men, then we will have no chance. If we are less than five points adrift we will have a good chance of running it to the wire. Imo.

So you think it's perfectly fine for you to criticise a manager but you jump down anyone's throat who does the same. Granted we are doing okay atm but that's all we are doing, we are out of the League Cup and we have a hell of a job on our hands to stay in the CL so things arent perfect. Klopp has just started his 4th year in charge (to put that in perspective Rafa was only here 6 years in total) and we haven't won anything, not even a League Cup. You tell us (seems you know it all) at what point is it okay for a fan to mention that we could do with winning something? 5 years? 6 years? 10 years?

Something pretty disasterous would have to happen to our form for us to be 10 points behind City by the beginning of January though saying that we do have a derby game next week which won't be easy (especially off the back of a trip to Paris). Everton are in decent form as well.

Doing ok lol

Ok mate you crack on  , you don’t do positive , it’s the constant downbeat of negativity from you

We win again - carry on the unbeaten start in the league ( only two teams in the Prem now ) and you just want to look for the negative- it’s not even about being ground it’s just constant negativity as if you are waiting for things to go wrong so you can point the finger and say “I told you so “

Klopp is about just starting his “third” full season and it’s taken him this long to get rid of a lot of the dross from the previous managers and build his team his way , it was never going to be easy or quick. We have come a long way since he arrived to now have a squad for the first time in decades capable of seriously challenging for big honours. 13 games unbeaten in the league to start the season , a defence that is now the equal of the best in the league - can only be things on the up - until someone reads what you post and you would think we were scrapping to make a Europa league spot.

Only four trophies can be won - don’t care about the cups as nice as it is - rather the team concentrate on the big ones and Klopp has us in a better place than we have been for years. I’ll take this over winning a league cup and finishing 8th

Plus in Dec we have Man Utd at home (who we havent beaten for years) wolves away, Arsenal at Home, all tough games.
I'm just saying if we drop points due to the fixture pile up, and don't play well. Not much room for error.
