Before you run the risk of falling into a big black pot marked 'irony' ,have a word with the kettle ?

That's a bit of a strange comment, in what possible way could that be considered ironic?

This season, he'll start whenever fit and you cant really argue with that. But as a side and given the personnel, we need to pick 1 to play upfront and between Sturridge and Suarez I know who I'd want to see up there next season. Obviously, we can do what we're doing now and push Suarez to the flank (he's good enough going forward to make an impact from any forward position) but it does take away from his game. You move Sturridge to the flank and your problems are not only with tracking back but also with the side's build up play. Obviously, hes a talented boy and he'll continue to score and impact the game but as a side, we'll lack that extra bit of balance and consistency over the course of a season from playing a striker out of position.
If we want to play both Suarez and Sturridge upfront and still challenge for honors we'll need 2 top class center midfielders.Atm, we dont have any. Gerrard is on the decline; still a very good player but his best days are behind him. Lucas doesnt influence the game enough from a possession standpoint if you're playing 2 in the middle and Henderson/Allen will never be good enough (despite them improving) as part of a title challenging midfield duo.
We need more wide options (and goals from them) and better center midfield options to take the side forward. If we manage to do that in the summer, Sturridge for me is the most likely candidate from the starting 11to make way.
Take nothing away from what he's done this season though. He has been brilliant !

For me he will go down as one of the worst footballers ever to play for Liverpool and possible the worst transfer deal ever in the history of the game. Sturridge on the other hand has been remarkably consistent at scoring goals which is something Carroll can only dream of. Sturridge replaced Carroll and is doing the job he is paid to do and that is scoring goals and not taking fkg embarrassing air shots.
Of course Danny has weaknesses, so does everybody. Of course he is arrogant, show me a truly successful sportsman that isn't. Of course he makes mistake, again show me a truly successful sportsman that doesn't. When Gerrard fails with a Hollywood ball would you regard that as a selfish poor decision. For me it is about entertainment and excitement and that is what Gerrard and Danny have the ability to do. They can change games with moments of brilliance. You criticise Danny as if he is responsible for the games when we have dropped points. Thirteen goals in thirteen starts deserves respect not cringeworthy criticism. Ok he makes a bad decision when we were winning 4-0 after he had gone a long way towards winning the game for us.It was a bad decision and certainly not deserving of you completely over the top criticism.
You will no doubt suggest that I'm missing the point (you're good at that) but I really don't think I am. If Danny wasn't scoring vital goals for the team and keeping us in with a shout when Luis was on cannibalism leave then maybe I could begin to understand just where you are coming from.
Using Danny as an one of the reasons we are only 3 points ahead of Spurs and 4 points ahead of Everton, now that really was probably the most stupid thing you have suggested in a while. You spend far too much time looking for the bad in certain players that don't pop up on your favourites list. Now that really isn't a great personality trait is it. There you go Stu I said everybody has weaknesses, EVEN YOU

Now that's over, I'm glad that stats burden has been lifted and he can now continue to score in every game and more of those wavy celebration dance please.
