We've only played three games! If we get to 10 and weve won 8 then, ill take my hat off to him. But if we lose the next 3 and draw 4 then, who'll be singing his praises then.

It is still too early to know whether BR is good enough to manage an ambitious club like Liverpool. 3 games and won 3 is a good sign but we still have a long way to go. I'll probably get a lot of stick for what I'm about to say, and it is this, "I will still take Rafa back any day". Because look at what he has won in his managerial career, La Liga titles(twice), Europa Cup(twice), CL, FA Cup, Super Cup and World Club, all with different clubs of course. And what has BR won so far? The reason why we dropped down to 7th in his last season here was due to rifts he had with the 2 blood sucker owners who almost bankrupt our club. Had Rafa been backed with 120M like Kenny, I'm sure he can assemble a formidable squad.

I'm not anti BR, because it's still too early to judge him. The earliest to judge him would be end of this year or end of next May at the latest. In the meantime, because he's our manager and so far things are looking good, I'll support him with all my heart. What I meant was, if given the choice of Rafa or BR to lead the current Liverpool, I'd take Rafa back anytime because of his impressive track record and he has proven to be able to win titles and trophies.

The current owners won't employ Rafa - mainly I believe because of Ayre. Ayre was part of the board that voted to get rid of Rafa along with Purslow. The owners had the chance to give him the job when Kenny was sacked because Rafa was free and available.

I'm not sure who they would get to next if BR didn't work out. Just got to pray that he gets us CL football and soon

I have got a feeling that we will end up with Rafa back again in another 2/3 seasons. It's just that in the meantime, it will be a long arduous and painful learning experience for the reds, whilst BR learns his trade in the top ranks. I predict we will be no nearer progress in 2/3 years time in terms of quality/ strength and depth of our squad. (for all those following your 5 year BR plan to success  )
The reason I say that, is that the personnel Rodgers has brought in to date, has not exactly been inspiring. (Allen, Borini, Coutinho, Sturridge, Moses, and a host from the youth team brought into the squad.) Doesn't exactly fill your boots with confidence.
Had Rafa been in charge at the start of last season, he would have brought the right personnel in and we would be playing CL football this season.
We have to sacrifice success whilst Rodgers learns his trade and even then after a couple of years in charge, we still may be no better off.

If Rodgers does get the sack anytime soon (which I doubt), he will probably be replaced by Carra or Gerrard. But Rodgers won't be sacked. The owners just won't do it and I believe Brendan himself won't even give them and us a reason.

Lets see what the man can do before we offer him a new contract.

The team is performing well since January and they are showing signs of improvement. I too am confident he can get us back into Europe but things can change quickly in football management. We need to wait at least until the end of this season before we can evaluate the man in a proper fashion.

The last thing the club needs in 2 years time is having to buy out the contract of the manager if his time is up. Signs are good but its still very early days into the mans tenure so lets just wait and see how he gets on.

Agreed.

He is doing a good job so lets wait and see if he can sustain it before we start talking about new contracts.
