Now anyone who has worked with council bureaucracy before will know the timescales of decision making, they ain't fast. Combined with the legal aspect of homeowners refusing to sell, you can see how the problem becomes long and drawn out.devaney » Wed Aug 14, 2013 11:31 am wrote:Eds - Calm down !! Calm down !!
So let's give FSG credit for absolutely fk all. You seem to conveniently ignore the fact that they could have simply kept a very substantial amount of the money that they allowed Comolli and Kenny to spend, actually it's a bit of a pity they didn't !! Well certainly £55m of it anyway that was squandered on Carroll and Downing who were bought to move the club forward. That didn't quite work did it.
And if your giving them no credit for the way they have handled Luis then it is pointless debating this any further. Again you miss the point that if they are as bad as you make out they could have sold Luis to Arsenal and kept most of the £40m.
Is it really such a bad thing for a businessman to buy a football club with the shocking thought that he could make a profit in the future?
I sure FSG did not make any promises regarding the ground. After Gillette's "spade in the ground" gaff they have been very careful not to commit themselves with regard to the ground.
Just trying to keep the glass half full mate. I accept that it is not a bed of roses but I also accept that FSG have never claimed to be a registered charity.

It's been a while since we've had one of these awards hasn't it?
