We are playing well and not being battered by teams. In fact we are the ones dominating but not scoring as much as we should.
This is what is costing us, not cowardice

We are not controlling games and not dominating anybody...except in our imagination...
We are a possession team that cannot keep possession and keep giving it away. We are a passing team without cutting edge in the final third.

We repeatedly leave huge undefended zones in central midfield, are vulnerable in MF in open play and on the counter. Where we had one of the better defences last season, now we give up goals and even more chances.

Nobody is talking about BR being sacked; that would be madness.

But we should'nt be in the business of giving him a pass for everything, incl the crazed idea of Downing and Hendo as fullbacks...

BR looks lost. He has a plan and if that dont work then there is no other way. Im sure if barca turned up he would try and out pass them. He lacks any type of top level experance apart from a season at swansea. The fact he played downing at left back against the two fastest wingers in the league is as bad as anything Kenny or the owl did.

I understand Football supporters get angry annoyed and disheatrened with their side but to many times i have seen this season after a loss Rodgers doesnt know what he is doing. After a win Rdgers is the greatest manager alive.

Tottenham away is a tough game they have invested heavily in recent seasons and the fact we got beat 2-1 and should have had a couple if penalties isnt an all together bad result.

We all know we need to add to our squad so why after every dissapointing game must we continue in the manner of calling the team ***** or slagging every player off.

Lets wait until after january see IF we have have bought anyone and WHO we have  bought.

If we invest 50 million and are still struggling to score goals then ill be right behind all the people slagging the team and the manager off but at the moment i knew what we was getting ourselves into after the deadline day transfers ended.

I knew that when Borini got injured we were relying on Luis Suarez.

So until we are wasting money like we did with Kenny or facing a Relegation battle then ill stick by the manager and give him my support. Maybe one or two others on here could try it

This is not true. I myself can and do criticise many things about the current situation of our club, but I try to do it in a positive, constructive way. If Rodgers is getting a "pass" its not because I think he is the greatest manager since Paisley, its because we have to give him time and be patient  and accept that he hasnt got a magic wand and will change turn things round in a season. If I said it will take at least 2 seasons to get us challenging for the CL people sh'it themselves and start coming out with ridiculous, weird statements about getting Mourhino in. IT WILL TAKE TIME and there will be many low points along the way. We will struggle and sh'it will happen, but there is no way around it and we will come out stronger at the end.
Ive said it before and I will say it again. Bill Shankly took 3 years to turn this club around, Brendan Rodgers has been here 6 months...

No reason to panic just yet.  We have a lot of very winnable games coming up in December. We've already got United, Chelsea, City, Spurs, Everton, Arsenal out of the way.

If we're no better off at the start of 2013 then I'll start to worry.

We really need to get CM sorted out, its just so unbalanced.  Can't wait to have Lucas back in there alongside Allen and hopefully Shelvey in the attacking position.

In January we need to sign forwards, preferably who can also play wide as wing forwards. 
Only criticism of Rodgers is playing Downing at LB.  Surely Robinson or Enrique would be better options.

as someone who has been supporting this club for over 40 years i find it staggering that we are on the cusp of december and we havent even broke into the top half of the table yet, people forget that even hodgson got us to the giddy heights of 7th/8th position, a bit of an urban myth has grown that we were just above the relegation zone when kenny inherited the side from hodgson, infact the straw that broke the camels back for roy was that 3-1 defeat away at blackburn that took us from 9th in the league to an `unacceptable` 12th!

for me rodgers is struggling with the relationship between style and substance, at the moment we are all style with no substance and the irony about that is that this club was always about substance.
other teams had the tony currie`s and stan bowles`s but we had players that knew how to win games and and knew how to win trophys.
title winning teams and teams that compete for the top prizes in the game are relentless winning machines that churn out result after result, often grinding out wins at hostile grounds and tough places to go.
we look a million miles away from the relentless crushing machine we were in our hayday, infact we are struggling to string 2 wins together and i never thought i`d ever say that about liverpool football club.

i am not angry that we lost to spurs, they are a strong team and finished right above us last season.
well manu lost to nowich too.
what i am angry is that why rogers played downing at left back? he was supposed to mark lennon for the first goal.
the larger blame should be put on rogers as downing played left wing n not left back most of his life.
stick enrique as left back n play cole/suso as left wing.
why did rogers want to self destruct like that? i dont understand at all!

I see a lot of people are comparing Rodgers + Hodgson at the moment.  I don't think thats fair on Rodgers at all.
Hodgson had a better team.  Reina was in better form then than he is now, he had a fully fit Lucas, a Carragher that still had something to offer, a much better Steven Gerrard and players that could score goals like Maxi + Kuyt and hell even Babel.

Anyone that wants to compare the two managers records needs to take this into consideration.

2 years? Id take that if we improved each year thats fine. However as it stands now we are going backward for the first time since i remember (maybe i blocked alot of the owls time out) I have no faith in being able to win matches. I mean even vs the likes of Aston villa, Norwich at home i would worry we arnt going to win.

Maybe im jumping the gun here and maybe its all going to be ok, but right now i cant see it.

Hes to narrow minded. All the players he seems to buy is players hes worked with. Borini Allen and now Sturridge. Look at Aquilani and Carroll never gave them a hint of a chance. IF he only buys Sturridge in january im telling you now he will struggle to keep his job come may. Heres another prediction i can see Laudrup seriously becoming a contender for his job if brendans philosophy fails. Look at Michu 2 million pound now im betting Brendan would never of heard of him. Plus lets be honest Stevie G has carried us for the past ten years with his fair share of goals. The single most biggest problem we have had is the obsession of buying new midfield players over the last 3 seasons when they was not needed. we should of invested in wingers and upfront instead. Also without a plan B were gona struggle. I bet my life Borini would play much better with Carroll than Suarez. You can just see the runs he makes would be ideal for flick ons from Carroll.

Yes that is a very worrying sign, almost everything Brendan has done up to know has been good and brave but playing Henderson and Downing makes no sense to me, they are both useless and we have better options on the bench, Assaidi, Sahin, Shelvey and Suso. At LB I would have played our, errmmm Left Back Enrique?

I wish the interviewers had the balls and/or brains to ask managers these type of questions post-match becuase we fans deserve to know the reasons behind these kind of weird and costly choices.

I am liking the cut of Rodgers but privately I am sure he would be the first to admit
he has made mistakes and its been a steep learning curve.

Whilst I appreciate his ideas about keeping the ball his Swansea team was short on
goals and this a problem he must address here both in terms of personnel and tactically.

Despite the obvious defects in this squad I still look at the names on our team sheet and
find it puzzling how some clubs are above us at this point and we sit only 4 points ahead
of the team third bottom, to me thats still under achieving for us, its a nit pick, but we
should be better than that surely.

Hes a job on rebuilding Liverpool has Rodgers no question and I doubt he will benefit from
a massive transfer kitty, but even so he needs to keep his eye on the ball and take every
game like his job depends on it rather than resting on this idea he is in this 'project' for
a long haul, because he would be foolish to bank on that in this day and age.
