It's just ashame that these supporters decided to twist the knife in Benitez's back in his final season, forgetting everything he done for us, ignoring everything he done for us, simply because of one poor season. Quite why Benitez still has a fondness for this club after his treatment by the Owners, the men in suits and sections of our fan base, the media and his own players is beyond me. I have always been a huge fan of Rafa, have always respected him, never once wanted him to be sacked. I remember being on the .tv boards, reading about Rafa's departure and being in a flood of tears. I have never been so ashamed to be a supporter of this club than on the day this club removed Rafa as our manager. I was so upset that I was seriously considering severing ties with the club and not following football anymore. Rafa was not just our manager, he was one of us and he fought for the good of this club to ensure that us fans still had a club. If he comes back I will be the happiest Liverpool supporter on the planet - a wonderful manager, a wonderful man and a fantastic servant to our football club. Benitez is a legend of this club, an absolute legend and I am so proud to have watched his tenure as Liverpool manager. I hope one day he comes back, because he has unfinished business - but if I was him, I wouldn't bother, but that's the difference between myself and Benitez. Benitez is a man of impeccable class, I am not.

I saw something online two days ago about an emergency meeting of the owners. I can't believe that KK will be removed from his post with an FA Cup semi-final to prepare for. That said I wonder what the reaction will be if Wigan win today and whether the club will start to make longer term plans.

Botom line is 7th wasn't good enough for Rafa so I don't see why it would be good now. Granted top 4 was never a given this seasonl, we have been shocking and souless at times. The players simply look like they are not motivated. Quality is still lacking too and I bet the owners are kicking themselves they did not buy a striker in the Jan window although I suspect that is probably down to the fact that they will allow that to happen under a new manager come the summer. Not sure what can be sorted or salvaged at this point tbh. I'm just want this season over with already,

7th isn't good enough, but Kenny has hardly had the time we graced Rafa, and we have only had Stevie/suarez/Carroll playing together like 3 times all season?
So lets cut him some slack

He's had a year and a half Dawson and a lot of money spent, over half as much as Rafa during his entire tenure. I don't think it's asking too much to be asking for some performance improvment in that time? I don't want to sound like I want him out today but realistically you have to ask what will more time bring? I can't see any visible evidence on the pitch of any shoots of recovery. Too often this season it's been 1 step forward 2 steps back so there are still deep lying problems imo and that's after spending a shed load of money. Id be surprised the owners see any different tbh.

F*ck history, we can't be losing to QPR 3-2 and thinking things are fine. We will probably end the season closer to the bottom team than the toip, and that ain't right, but i hope Kenny sorts it

Personally i want Kenny to have another season because im convinced his methods work... but it needs good players for those methods to work.. and as we all know hes bought garbage.
Summer clearout of Carroll, Adam.. also discard Spearing and one or two others, spend whatever he recoups on quality from la liga and lets see how we go next season.
I cant recall a worse league season than this one. If we had any other manager but Kenny the fans would be calling for his head.
