All have been treated poorly to a greater or lesser extent by Liverpool.I know that many of them haven't helped themselves with behavioural or attitude problems or simple lack of ability, but apart from Diouf no worse than many other strikers.

how can you mention him?? he was at the end of his career and left liverpool to be with Roy Evans at Fulham........... He definatly was not mistreated.

He was continually being dropped whilst at liverpool even when he was playing well. He has also said that coming to Liverpool shortened his career and if he is the only one you dispute, I think that must mean I have some sort of point?

Players come and go, Saint's post hold no relevance. Most of the players in that list were sold by the likes of Souness, Evans and Houllier, not by Rafa, I doubt very much that someone like Kuyt or Ashton (for example) would refuse to play for Liverpool because of a player that was sold twenty years ago. What a stupid point to make.  :no

4 of the players I mentioned are still with the club and 4 more left within the last 2 years. Players do recommend clubs and that combined with money and a guarenteed first team place would be more than enough to explain Kuyts preferance for Newcastle.

Seems hes messing us around, he can go to newcastle if he loves them so much, he will have to forget any dreams he has of winning anything though

That maybe so but anyone with half a brain and played football with a passion would go to Liverpool instead of Newcy. Kuyt obviously wants to go to Newcastle to become a legendary toon player like Jackie Millburn and Alan Shearer. It's out of greed, nothing else.

What that has to do with Liverpool supposedly "selling strikers" is beyond me.

Seems like someone trying to be clever and making themselves look like a fool.

why does everyone go to newcastle instead of liverpool ???  ohhh ye its probably the wages side of things . Because money is far more important than medals. I would play for the status of the club its not like £30,000 a week is rubish , and i would show me grankids me medals and feel sooo proud    :)

Has there been a substantiated source for this alleged Kuyt quote about preferring Newcastle?  It sounds like the usual paper talk bollox to me.

I'm sure I did, however that doesn't explain what you mean by your post, it seems as though you decided to list down a load of ex-strikers and not make a point.

Anyone with half a brain would understand that not many of these strikers will be recommending Liverpool to other players. Then again I suppose im flattering you with having half a brain! I never said any player would refuse to play for Liverpool ,you said that.

The players can recommend any club to fellow peers, it makes no difference unless players are like Gerrard, insecure and easily influenced.
