Stevie G is the man and yest it would be a shame not to win the prem. Mind look at Shearer at newcastle, another world class player who never won the title at his home town club. Mind there have been plenty of Average Mancs who have..............Neville & Butt.

Qoute ""140 Million is a lot of money although i still wouldn't want to sell either of them. But if Torres was to go for 100 million and we got in 3 world class players then would that be so bad!! ""

I despair I really do .... Why is it so difficult for people to understand that an inflated market means prices go UP for everyone and we are totally sh--ted if that happens as we have no biillioniare owners to bank roll us.

If Torres goes for 100m then who do you replace him with and MORE IMPORTANTLY what kind of price will be asked if WE raise the bar.

Perhaps Villa- 90m?  Benzema or another overhyped unrpoven in the premiership player - 80m?
If you think we will be allowed to buy 3 world class players at todays prices with 100m in our pocket you need help you really do.

Today he was a disgrace, sorry but he as. At one point Insua had the ball, ran and Stevie got into his way, they clashed and lost the ball and Stevie did his usual throwing hands in the air.

If he don't wanna playf or us sell him now. If he does, and I hope he does, then sort him out, give Reina the armband and tell him to grow up and be the player of awesomeness we know he is.

Don't know what it is Daws.  I think you hit the nail on the head though.  If he doesn't sort it out and start looking like he's going to bleed for the shirt time and again as he has in the past then keep him.

I've got a terrible feeling though that the window for Gerrard to be the focal point to lead this team to the title is closing.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

We're out of everything bar the Europa. The World Cup is having a massive inlfuence on how he's playing at the moment. He's trying, but he's not trying that hard because I know for a fact he doesn't want that injury to reoccure again so close to the competition. He won't be the only one with that mentality either.

All speakin absolute rubbish and again taking our best player for granted because he isnt pulling out of the sh!t when he is playing in a team that has no creativity.
He isnt playing well, but always will struggle when he is in a side that lacks creativity and movement.
But to suggest he has one eye on the world cup is bang out of order, he has been playing with injections at times this season.
He can and will do better but it isnt easy in this side that is devoid of confidence and attacking know how.

Actually same as other players in other clubs but they are still playing good football and fighting for the title. Not sure if it's entirely down to WC, I think it also has to do with we are already out of the title race.

I actually believe the opposite of "an eye on the World Cup".  I think he's put his surgery off on the injury that could have been taken care of "under the knife" and he's not had it done because Torres has been recovering from his procedure.  This is of course just speculation but I wouldn't be too surprised to see Gerrard go under the knife very soon to make sure he doesn't miss the WC.

I think Rafa, Again ,places Gerrard in the wrong position in the field ,he should be dropped back to CM position and let him control the game ,currently he playes behind the striker in a very deep position and he doesn't have the quick ball control to overcome his defender he just loses the ball.

Let him play the Alonso position ,we gain a much better control in the Middle (better then Lucas for sure) and we can put another attacking player in front.

I don't know if Stevie likes that idea but that's what we need from him ,As aqua/lucas/Mash are contributing nothing to our attack play.

Altough I don't want to keep harping on about Alonso's departure, it's plain to see that we don't get the ball to him quickly enough in positions where he can really hurt the opposition at the moment. Also at times yesterday he was fully 40-50 yards away from Kuyt at times.

Personally I'd have played Babel through the middle. At least that would have given Gerrard the option of getting his head up and playing the ball in behind. To get the best out of Gerrard in the hole we need Torres back sharpish.

Or sell them Gerrard for £70m and keep Torres.

I don't believe that kind of rumour, surely Mancini has players in mind and wouldn't blow a huge amount on just two players no matter how good they are?!?! (assuming Mancini is still there in the summer)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

i don't want him to "pull us out of the :censored:"

i just want him to do his job better than a 20 year old french kid who's scored about the same number of goals in half the games...

its fairly obvious he's not playing at 100% (all season)  - what we don;t need is him to pick and choose the games he turns up in (whichhas always been somewhat of a gerrard flaw imo), and not to sulk  when he hasn;t got torres to play with (fnar) - the post made above about him not tracking close enough to kuyt is a case in point

He owes a big season and should be an example to the youngsters who we've had to rely on at times this season, but  it has been v disapointing season from him  :Oo:
