Why not play Aqua in the middle and Gerrard on the wide right

Gerrard may not have the pace to run at defenders on the wings but he can deliver crosses that make me cream.

And why no Maxi still!!!

disappointing line up if true, not sure why Maxi and Aquilani are not playing they need games badly. Shouldnt matter though, we should be beating Wolves comfortably as long as we play sensibly. Probably 2-1 to us

Why rush SG back to the team? Aquilani deserves more playing time after his last performance.

It'll be interesting to see how Aquilani reacts to the Rafa treatment, it may well decide if he is really up for it here or not. Same for Maxi, they have to be humble and hard working until they get their time to shine or they won't make it here. I at least hope Rafa sent a message to Stevie saying hey, we got someone else who can play in your position so you need to up your game. Competition should light a little fire under Stevie's @rse so I hope he comes out ready to go.

That said I'm still not happy about Aqua not starting! :angry:

I imagine the that Rafa and the physio team do not want to risk aggravating Aquilani's ankle. I can only think he still has not 100% recovered from the surgery get.

Maxi's is a case of adapting to the league pace and physicality. I assume Rafa does not want to risk dropping more points, I expect him to phase in Maxi over the next 2/3 games
