Sack him. if you want the manager sacked - ...put your thoughts in here.

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Liverpool FC are in desperate need of overhaul. Rafa simply has to go. Ill always look at him as a success for winning the Champions League in 2005 but since that he hasnt done what we brought him here to do. Everyone said he will win us the league. I am saying that i know 100% that he will NEVER win it. We need a new manager. The following players HAVE TO GO. Voronin, Degen, Dossena, Lucas, Babel and Kuyt because they simply arent good enough to play for Liverpool. Which of the current top 6 would include any of these players in their team? Exactly. None of them. Why do they get into ours if were supposed to be challenging for the title? Why do we play 1 striker and 2 holding midfielders against current bottom of the table and still lose 2-0? Sorry but to anyone who still "trusts in Rafa" youre living in dreamland. The guy is a quack

I also wanna say that Anfield is like a graveyard and our fans are consitently getting over sung buy the away support. The people who get to go every week tke it for granted, If i could both afford and get the time off work to make it to Anfield every game I would and would find it unacceptable if i could still speak at the end of the game

Sacking him now won't improve anything. There has to be a plan, and there is no plan. People who think that by sacking the manager is going to miraculously cure us have their head up their holes. There is a problem with our club throughout, big problems, and it's not just with the manager. A plan needs to be in place. A manager has to be lined up and then brought in with the assurance that he's going to be supported with both funds and the backing of our best players. Realistically, can anyone see this taking place? I can't. Then who, I ask, is this the fault of?

Well sacking Ramos miaculously cured Spurs last year!! Sacking Hart is curing Pomey right now. WE have a perfectly great replacemant already at the club. King Kenny unlike Benitez HAS WON THE PL before. Who better than arguably our biggest legend to lead us to the title. It will be a crime if Gerrard doesnt lift that trophy during his career in a Liverpool shirt

A new manager be it whom will definitely change the whole pathetic mentality of this current team. Every player will know they have to work doubly hard to get into the new manager first team, unlike now players with obvious no talent at all (esp Lucas, Kuyt) yet can start match after match after match which is just so demoralizing to see the team sheet.

How is Kuyt a regular? He had a 1 off good season and is now worse than he has ever been

The perfect man to mind the shop is Daggers, Sammy as second man.

I hate these owners as much as the next man but how the fk can I blame them for Rafas latest mind boggling decision making?

Dossena in LM!
Insua in before Aurelio!
Takes off Dossena (who was total shyte) for Beni!
then swops Insua for Aurelio! then swops Lucas for Spearing!
Looked more like damage limitation than any attempt to get back in the game.
Rafa is just fiddling while rome burns

The owners have nothing to do with Rafas shortfalls!
And make no mistake its his shortfalls that have got us where we are today

If Dalglish came in I'd be over the Moon. I can't ever see this happening. Oh, and we are NOT Spurs. We are in a far worse scenario than they ever were. Spurs have changed manager more times over the years than I care to remember. Yet they are still Spurs - sh*te, mid-table no hopers. No disrespect to them or anything, but that's always been the Spurs I remember and that won't change. Truth be told, there has been a ridiculous burden, that us the fans of this club, have and will put on the shoulders of any manager to walk into this club to end the awful drought of waiting for the league in near two decades, which is an unfair one for a new manager. Our sh*t, from top-to-bottom, needs fixed first, because let's be fair about it, we've hardly competed because of the way we're ran as a business from the top down. People say that so long as Rafa is in charge, we won't win the title. I will say this as a counter-argument: we will not win very much, nevermind the title, so long as we are owned be a couple of clueless d*ckhead Yanks.

Thats very well said. the sh1t rolls downhill at the end of the day. Rafa is just multiplying the sh1t and its the players who are getting covered

Seems like the final few fans are turning on Rafa and now the only ones left on his side are those that are so obsessed with hating the owners that they will back Rafa no matter what.

Yeah, though to be fair, it wouldn't have mattered who he brought on and where he put them. We're just sh*te all over the pitch.

I think we have to make a change. Our football is terrible and we've already conceded as many goals as in the entire 05/06 season, a shocking statistic. If Villa win today against Stoke we'll be eight points off fourth spot and with several very tricky games to negotiate away to Arsenal, City, Villa, Man U...and with Chelsea still to come to Anfield and another merseyside derby.

Thats the way it seems to me.

He has had his day, we are in danger of spiralling so far backwards that we could be in dire straights very soon.

He needs to go asap, i wont celebrate, i think he is a decent fella thats done his best and put everything he could into it, he has fallen short though.

And we as a club need to think about whats best for LFC.

Rafa is too stubborn to change anything, even when losing, he still keep his 4-5-1 shape and won't bring in another striker to partner Torres to try get back into the game. His substitution is mostly position for position, take out a LM, put back a LM even if the player is not natural in that position.
