thing is back in day you always had a squad to rely on.
but now we dont.

Back then tho Dav we had managers who knew the league and bought lads closer to home that knew what it was to play for our shirt.  :buttrock

What irritates me is this Rafa can do no wrong business (not from you). When he is wrong he is wrong, it should be admitted by everyone and then we move on to the next game.

Hiding it behind money, injuries, parry, purslow and the two clowns does no one any favours.

He fecked up badly today, hopefully he does better next time

Yep, I broadly agree. I wouldn't agree that there aren't other factors - there are - and to that extent I'm probably going to disagree with yourself and Mick, but Rafa has to accept the lion's share of responsibility for things on the pitch and so far it's been well below par. It's the extent of it that shocks me, but we have to move on - we can only move on.

I remember we had this argument about excuses vs reasons years ago. :D

Coming back to LFC's point, I actually agree with him that there are other factors. It's not ALL Rafa, but a large part of it is IMHO. Obviously we are currently in a really bad trot with injuries for example, it's very significant and not the managers fault. Equally, what with the fecking beach ball and two sendings off today, we're not having a lot of luck either. I do also think there is possibly something in the "pull the rug" theory. Also, I do think as I've said many times that we had a set of circumstances last season which were unbelieveably favourable and perhaps made us look better than we actually are, and while it's not as significant as some make out, the owners fecking around doesn't help anybody either.

what i have found most amusing in football since basicaly the start of the sky sports premiership and the champions league.
which may i remind you football did exsist before this.
the league cup- people come on here and say they are glad we got knocked out - and rafa and houlier before count it as a nothing competion
the fa cup sadley has now become the same
what these idiots forget is, that leaves 2 cups to win since the others seem to not to matter anymore
and you no something i am glad to see chelsea now consider all cups worth winning and put out a decent team.
is it better to come 2nd in the league and win nothing than the fa cup. in my eyes no. in rafas it seems so.
how sad

I know you probably haven't had that thought but there might be some that actually thinks a new manager coming in midseason in a club in crisis with his own idea, agenda and no money actually might do worse?

Has that thought ever occured to you?

My point is its the managers job to anticipate problems and have contingency plans in place. Now obviously I don't expect him to have a plan for Beach balls, but for injuries I do.

Sending offs etc are just part and parcel of football, I don't remember many people saying the only reason we challenged last season was because Alonso got EIGHT people sent off against us?

Its more than that. LFC is a family, win or lose we stick together, always have always will. We're all crying for the club to get in order and we cant even get ourselves in order. what a :censored: depressing dire situation this is. jesus :censored: christ

I think if anyone was in it for the "success" they would have fecked off by now mate. 4 years and counting since our last "success". We are here to stay , its just the moaning and groaning that is getting louder.

I know s@int it was just an outburst, sorry mate, maybe I need a break from this

We all need to vent mate.  It must be even worse for you ..... at least I get it out of my system by blaming the manager  :D

:D

true enough mate, I can see his faults, honestly I can. Its one of them things, I'd like to see how someone else would do but it means no more Rafa and no turning back, its a very final decision that I just cant get on board with right now. Everyones entitled to theirs views mate and you and Mick put them together without too much provocation and you manage to get discussions going (sometimes :D )

I'm not one of those who immediately argue with those who hate rafa, I can easily see his faults that you and Mick point out

but there are others who pick up on things that are just petty b0llocks...
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
