I'd be tempted to play johnson out wide , let him play a more attacking game , would defintely give us more options going forward but then that leaves us at right back , perhpas carra to play there?

Tough game ahead, apperantly Torres is out, SG is back though. Put the strongest side out and win the game. Simple as that. 2-1 for the Redmen.

What's their record coming into this game?

Who did they play at the weekend? What was the score?

I guess you already know the answers? Or you wanted to open the thread.

some people just have no initiative to do things yet have the audacity to complain.

anyway, as for the match, 0-0 or 1-0. Benayoun probably getting the winner if we win.

I would actually consider starting Spearing ahead of Lucas because although they were both pretty poor in that last game, Lucas was the worse of the two i thought.

Riera is out because he´s having a scan on his leg or something. So maybe Have Benayoun on the left, Babel on the right and Kuyt and Ngog upfront ?

Lyon has got this Bosnian teen who is rather impressive - Miralem Pjanic. i think he plays on the left so Johnson, if he plays, will have to be able to track back asap when on one of his attacking forays.

they have loads of players that are capable of playing well and hurting us on their day:
Bastos
Kallstrom
Lopez
Govou
Gomis

and they have some solid players in the ranks too:
Clerc
Cris
Toulalan
Cissokho
Ederson

Joe isnt Kallstrom that Chelsea guy or something? Lopez is gonna be a tough front-man to cope, and Lyon have spent around 70million this summer on 4 key players.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

don't know what you mean by "that Chelsea guy."  I know he never played for them.  He is just a "player with Kwality"  not in any absurd amout, just solid with some very nice flashes to go along

Got the roughest cold so won't be able to get out and watch this one  :( Hoping for a half decent stream on here, not that i can ever get anywhere with them!

Just seen the team on SSN. Kelly in for Johnson!? Didn't see that coming, has Jonno got an injury? Am relieved to see Ngog playing up front (did I just say that) ahead of Kuyt. Unless Stevie is gonna play right side of a 4-4-2 with Dirk up top with Ngog.
